Billy Sharp scored the winner for Reading on his full league debut - scoring after just 13 minutes. Williams set up Sharp who started alongside Pogrebnyak, with Le Fondre on the bench. It was a bright spot in a mostly disappointing night for the Royals. Thankfully the Royals picked up the full three points in a scrappy game between two badly performing sides. After spending most of the game a goal down Charlton had the better of the final moments but never threatened to score what would have been a vital equaliser for the visitors. Despite the game, the statistics will show two consecutive victories for the Royals who find themselves very well placed within the play-off positions.
