Brian McDermott is expected to field a strong side for tomorrow's friendly visit of Crystal Palace to the Madejski Stadium. It's a final opportunity for McDermott to prepare his first team selection ahead of the new season kick-off in a week's time. The Royals finished their activity in the transfer market early in the summer break to give the full squad plenty of time to prepare. It may be a friendly but Reading fans will be hoping for a win. Other than a sound victory over AFC Wimbledon, it has been an uneventful summer on the pitch as the Royals failed to win in Portugal and followed it up with draws at Bournemouth and Brighton.
Tickets are ten pounds for adults and five pounds for concessions. However, make sure you buy your tickets in advance as, if you buy on the day, two pounds is added to every ticket price. Car parks are open as usual and the town centre shuttle bus is running as usual between the bus station and the Stadium.
