Team news

Saturday's game is Watson's last on his current loan spell at Reading. Meanwhile Salako's loan contract has been extended for a further month. It's possible that both players could become permanent signings but it's also possible that both could be on their way after playing such a big part in Reading's mid-season revival. Meanwhile Jamie Ashdown could make his first league start for the Royals after the news that first choice keeper Phil Whitehead could be out for as long as six weeks with a thigh injury. Ex-Reading player Martyn Booty is expected to line-up for Chesterfield in defence.

Reading - from: Ashdown, Murty, Williams, Viveash, Whitbread, Robinson, Harper, Salako, Parkinson, Watson, A.Smith, Forster, Butler, Cureton, Hughes, Shorey, N.Smith.

Chesterfield - from: Abbey, Booty, Payne, Breckin, Edwards, Howard, Ebdon, D'Auria, Hitzlsperger, Reeves, Moore, Beckett, Willis, Parrish, Richardson, Ingledow.
