Reading Football Supporters Club

Going Up North?

A-levels done, backs packed, Uni calling… but what about the football? Things just start getting good and you've got a 500 mile 'round trip just for a home game. What's a student to do?

Well, how about joining the Northern Royals? They're an established and recognised branch of RFSC, who's main aim is to put fellow Reading FC supporters in touch with each other. Although they don't offer organised travel, many members share cars to visit games both in the north and at the Madejski Stadium.

Of course, you get all the usual benefits of joining RFSC:

  • access to great value away coach travel, with pick-ups at the Mad Stad and outside Reading Train Station (for holiday times!)
  • 10% discount off all Reading Football Club related merchandise (except sale items) on one shopping trip at the Megastore (valid until 30.06.02)
  • participation in Reading's only supporter organisation
  • access to RFSC events like the Fans Forum, which is your chance to meet the people behind Reading FC and ask them your questions - Pards, Mad-Dog and John Madejski were all at the last one
  • newsletter called "Reading Matter" twice yearly
  • priority over the general public (but not Season Ticket holders) for big match tickets
  • 3 chances to win a free pint at the South Bank Bar in our match day prize draw (how can a student decline free beer?)
  • if you have an email address, you can be part of e-RFSC and receive our occasional electronic newsletters
  • plus, Northern Royals block seat bookings for all-ticket and reserved seating matches.

They look forward to seeing some new faces, so if you're heading north for your studies and want to meet other exiled Royals fans, contact the Northern Royals directly by email: northern.royals@bigfoot.com

Or post: 29 Linksway, Congleton, Cheshire, CW12.

Or via RFSC at the East Stand shop on match days.

So what are you waiting for?!
