Fair enough.Dirk Gently wrote:We were outplayed by a damn good team, with bags of Premier League experience who are very "streetwise" - remember not so very long ago they qualified for the Champions League.
Thye gave us plenty of space to play in and were happy to soak up the pressure, but in the penalty area - where it really counts - I'd say they definitely did outplay us.Chaney wrote:did they outplay us in the 2nd half today???, if you think that then you must have been on a different planet let alone a different stadium
Yes I think this hitws the nail BANG on the head.Arch wrote:The real disappointments were Watford and Blackburn.

So why do we always have to have all these post-match sessions of arguing which player(s) are to blame for the every defeat?
Sometimes it's just that we've played against a better team - we're playing in the most competitive league in the world, and it'll take us quite a few years to get to a consistent standard in it, so remember - we can't win them all, for every match there must be a loser as well as a winner, sometimes that'll be us - and CHILLAX!
I think fans can accept a defeat against Chelsea,Man Utd,Liverpool or Arsenal but we need to beat quite a few of the rest in our home games and why not discuss where we went wrong and how we might improve?Dirk Gently wrote:We were outplayed by a damn good team, with bags of Premier League experience who are very "streetwise" - remember not so very long ago they qualified for the Champions League.

Heh. Last week, Blackburn were supposedly also a 'damn good team' who were no doubt destined to fly up the table. Well, today Blackburn came back down to earth with a thud and were soundly thrashed 6-2.Victor Meldrew wrote:As for Everton being "a damn good team" they had previously won one solitary away game all season, the same as Man City and Fulham and two LESS than Sheff Utd.
I was surprised when they made Reading Favs to beat Everton, Everton have some really classy players and for us to lose isnt the end of the world.Dirk Gently wrote:We were outplayed by a damn good team, with bags of Premier League experience who are very "streetwise" - remember not so very long ago they qualified for the Champions League.
