Finally arrived- looking forward to a decent pint and a entertaining match, and by 9.45pm tonight we will know our semi-final opponents.Royals and Racers wrote:New date for the Hungerford v Chesham QF is Tuesday 10th March KO 7.45pm

Don’t think they can expect us to play Monday / Thursday/ Saturday. Apparantly the date for the final is not moveable. We also have a game on Good Friday which makes the previous week difficult. I have no idea what the priorities are, I believe County Cups actually rank higher than almost all other competitions and presumably any Reading U21 fixtures rank below Hungerford first team fixtures in terms of moving them.Royals and Racers wrote:Finally arrived- looking forward to a decent pint and a entertaining match, and by 9.45pm tonight we will know our semi-final opponents.Royals and Racers wrote:New date for the Hungerford v Chesham QF is Tuesday 10th March KO 7.45pm

My hopes satisfied, pint of old speckled hen, 5 goals and we now know it’s Hungerford v Reading in the Semi-final.
Problem is finding a date before the final on Tuesday 14th April. My best guess would be W/C 6th April but Hungerford have a league match on Easter Monday.

The joke is that we have been waiting 3 months for the semi and had to play at Maidenhead in the QF on a night the 1st team were at home !!!!Crusader Royal wrote:Don’t think they can expect us to play Monday / Thursday/ Saturday. Chesham have the difficult situation where FOUR teams share their ground. No wonder they end up with lots of postponements.Royals and Racers wrote:The joke is that we have been waiting 3 months for the semi and had to play at Maidenhead in the QF on a night the 1st team were at home !!!!Crusader Royal wrote:Don’t think they can expect us to play Monday / Thursday/ Saturday. Why does the B&B FA make a rod for their own back? Why is the date for the final not moveable? It’s hardly the FA Cup final, it’s a minor cup virtually nobody cares about outside of the clubs that reach the latter stage. Other competitions have been known to even hold finals over the the start of the following season if necessary.Crusader Royal wrote:Don’t think they can expect us to play Monday / Thursday/ Saturday. I know several officials at the B & B FA and none of them have told me that the final cannot be moved. Obviously they have a contract with Slough Town to hire the stadium but if the stadium was available on another day i would think they would be flexible.Sutekh wrote:Why does the B&B FA make a rod for their own back?
