I'm sure playing hoof-ball with a sociopathic baseball cap-donning northerner for a manager is an exciting prospect for any youngster selecting his youth team.
You all want us to become the next Stoke?
Even though he's retired and said he doesn't have the desire anymore? There's no need to always live in the past.Royal Lady wrote:Sir Steve for me

Essentially Coppell, McDermott, Pardew and even McGhee played a certain brand of 'Get at 'em quick' football. Look how Newcastle play. Dull for a while - cross your fingers - ride your luck then get at them fast!!!
Rodgers, Adkins and even Tommy Burns went for 'their style' and 'their players'.
It just doesn't work with us. We are not a particularly sophisticated fan base (speak for myself, i know) and we just like to watch a team having a good go, preferably at a decent tempo.
This is why Guthrie struggles. This is why Karacan is a huge loss at the moment and why people were sad to see Jay Tabb go (was this an Adkins decision or hadn't he started then? They were pretty close together).
I therefore declare Pulis' up and at-em style is probably our way forward. Sorry for you pretty football types. No good at the Mad Stad.
