I like him too, similar age, similar amount of goals from the same amount of games for previous club.

Just feel we need a back up with more presence in our system. Baldock was swatted off like a flea.

When we inevitably lose Joao to injury we’ll be weak in attack and we need a lone striker option. I’d prefer Diedhou in that respect.

Daniel Sturridge is a free agent, 31 years old and looking for a club in England according to reports. He's been without a club for over a year, since his contract was terminated in March 2020 shortly before receiving a four-month worldwide ban for breaching betting rules.

Not sure how good he still is after a year out, but that may work in our favour, plus the ban and the circumstances around it might put others off. He'd certainly be a more realistic target than Aguero who is on the frontpage list.
