Finished 2-2
Wareham almost won it for Exeter too but a draw is a good result for us so I'm happy enough.

Yep, could really shake things up, looking at the others, Bradford and Bolton are probably too far ahead, Stockport's run in is probably too easy, think Stevenage are the only team we can reasonably catch.

They finish with a trip to Doncaster then a visit from Wigan so more than likely there’s 6 points there.

The missing game is a visit from Barnsley.

Whatever, Reading need the barest minimum of 10 points from their last 4 to have the remotest chance in hell of getting an opportunity to **** up yet another play off campaign.

With Leicester now 4 points adrift and us almost guaranteed to be in the division next season, I think we can now start to class them as rivals especially if they lost at Pompey on Saturday.

Oxford still have 3 teams looking to grab a play-off/promotion spot to face (Wrexham, Derby & Millwall) as well as Wednesday - so tough to see them escaping either.

Oh oxf*rd off Stevenage, don't give me hope.

This "race for 6th" has been oxf*rd embarrassing.

Last minute equaliser by Cardiff means they're all but up now, will they be up for it on Saturday? Who knows, pretty much the same situation Lincoln were in when they rolled us over.

But we somehow haven't lost ground on the play-offs tonight

Not been paying much attention but have Hudders just conceded an equaliser in the last min of two consecutive games? Basically wrecking their play off chances?

Sounds familiar anyway

Imagine if we'd made an effort to turn up last saturday?

If Stockport win at Wimbledon tonight Cardiff can`t rubber stamp it on Saturday but their GD is miles better.

Cardiff can only get promoted on Saturday now if they better Stockport`s result at Exeter after they won at Wimbledon tonight.

If Cardiff beat us and Wareham scores the goal(s) that help Exeter beat/draw with Stockport then everyone who throws those tweets at him should have to stay and watch the Cardiff celebrations.

Sheffield Wednesday will definitely start next season on minus fifteen points, regardless of a takeover: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/ar ... 0eekymmkko

Can only be good news for us.

It's a disgrace of a decision though. Chansiri has ruined the club and the EFL have kicked them while they're down. If there was a time to be pragmatic instead of following the letter of the law this was it. I don't get any pressure from seeing them start on negative points. They're such a mess they were never going to be near the top anyway.

As said elsewhere it isn't a discgrace at all - it is a rule voted in by all members to ensure that a club that runs up debts pays those to a decent standard once a takeover is complete. Why should a club be saved but a small trader in Sheffield lose out?

The prospective new owners would have been aware of the rules and are actively choosing not to cover the debt to an agreed level - so this is a new owner decision to take the points deduction to keep more funds for the club - why should the club not pay off debts and receive no sanction?

And yes, I am aware that a lot of the debt is owed to the former owner who is refusing to write it off but the rule is there to protect smaller businesses who trade with the club in good faith.

Agree - obviously have every sympathy for the fans but 6p per pound to creditors, some of whom will be small local businesses, is not acceptable

Weren’t some people saying we should go for Russell Martin wannabe Luke Williams?

Peterboro could still go down at this rate

I think they'll be okay.

Exeter have to play both Stockport and Bradford; and have to gain four/five points on them (depending on goal difference). Wimbledon are in complete free fall too; and have to play Plymouth and Huddersfield.

Thought Port Vale might have a chance of shocking everyone, until I saw they still need to play Cardiff; Plymouth; Stockport; and Lincoln.

Yep bottom 4 looks done and dusted....should we go back in for Wareham? Exeter have financial difficulties and as a L2 striker we could get him at a low price.
