Leicester losing at Portsmouth and Oxford losing at Derby in the early games.

Leicester must be very close to relegation if they end up losing.

Still got three to play so could overtake teams like Charlton and Blackburn.

Reality is that they're playing with no heart or soul, so DOOMED

Bottom of division 2 table (Incl. scores as they stand)

Pos - Club Played - Points (remaining games)
18 - Pompey P43 - 51Pts (Coventry A, Stoke A, Brum H)
19 - Charlton P42 - 51Pts (Sheff W A, Ipswich H, Hull H, Swansea A)
20 - Blackburn P44 - 49Pts (Sheff U A, Lester H)
21 - WBA P42 - 46Pts (Preston A, Watford H, Ipswich H, Sheff W A)
22 - Oxford P42 - 44Pts (Wrexham H, Sheff W H, Millwall A)
23 - Leicester P43 - 41 Pts (Hull H, Millwall H, Blackburn A)
24 - Sheff W P42 - -4Pts (Charlton H, Middlesbrough A, Oxford A, WBA H)

Reckon Leicester will go and either WBA (3 points deduction still in the offing) or Ox will go with them.

Actual lol @ Huddersfield. Since they scored that 96th min equalizer against us they've conceded equalizers in 90+11, 90+5 and 90+11 again today.

It's a disgrace of a decision though. Chansiri has ruined the club and the EFL have kicked them while they're down. If there was a time to be pragmatic instead of following the letter of the law this was it. I don't get any pressure from seeing them start on negative points. They're such a mess they were never going to be near the top anyway.
As said elsewhere it isn't a discgrace at all - it is a rule voted in by all members to ensure that a club that runs up debts pays those to a decent standard once a takeover is complete. Why should a club be saved but a small trader in Sheffield lose out?

The prospective new owners would have been aware of the rules and are actively choosing not to cover the debt to an agreed level - so this is a new owner decision to take the points deduction to keep more funds for the club - why should the club not pay off debts and receive no sanction?

And yes, I am aware that a lot of the debt is owed to the former owner who is refusing to write it off but the rule is there to protect smaller businesses who trade with the club in good faith.
Agree - obviously have every sympathy for the fans but 6p per pound to creditors, some of whom will be small local businesses, is not acceptable
It would also set a dangerous precedent the next time a club goes tits up.

If West Brom win today (I know, I know) then Leicester would HAVE to win all three remaining games to stand any chance of surviving

So, as you say, DOOMED !!

Very real possibility Oxford survive, with all three teams below them having points deductions. Leicester’s and WBA’s being determinant.

Surely any points deductions made now won't apply to this season?

The Championship went through something like 5 years in a row where at least one relegated side had a points deduction, but I think we were the last to get relegated in such circumstances.

If all 3 relegated sides had points deductions it would reflect poorly on the pyramid.

Having said that, finally the EFL have charged West Brom with FFP charges. Should have been 3 years ago! If they were as quick to knock points off with them as they were with us they should be down there.
