Upson is the name that always comes to mind when I think of our loan signings. Bloke was like a Rolls Royce playing as a centre half.Hendo wrote:2 best loan signings were:WoodleyRoyal wrote:last good loan? probably Steve Blatherwick

Only played 14 games but an absolute class act.Old Man Andrews wrote:Upson is the name that always comes to mind when I think of our loan signings. He was brilliant. If only Madejski had paid the extra 1.5k a week he wanted I'm convinced we would have gone up that yearOld Man Andrews wrote:Upson is the name that always comes to mind when I think of our loan signings. True, but if that had happened, we probably wouldn't have had the 05-06 team, etc.gazzer, loyal royal wrote:He was brilliant. Told you, JG sees attack and creativity and attack as the best form of defence. In his 6 months at Ave he apparently never addressed their defensive frailties so I reckon we should hardly be surprised if we see the squad even more overloaded by supposedly creative midfield options. On the upside it might mean we get some strikers that are actually suitable for the system he wants to play. On the downside Reading will have to outscore everyone every week.leon wrote:FFS.Old Man Andrews wrote:Nope. I only care about that.

Well apparently people want to see goals scored and entertaining football. Not wins. That's what was being said during Stam's season. So, this will be the proof of it - will we be happier losing 4-3 than scraping 1-0?Sutekh wrote:Told you, JG sees attack and creativity and attack as the best form of defence.
