Not football related but I saw via BBC Sport that there's an Aussie cricketer who's at Worcester who's getting done for rape under similar circumstances, albeit perhaps worse, to Ched Evans.

Football being football, and cricket being cricket, I've not seen a load of debate and news coverage of the case anywhere.

Another one I read the other day was that a warrant had been issued to arrest Fernando Forestieri after he failed to show up at the magistrates court to face a charge of racially aggravated harassment.

Crickter is Alex Hepburn - he's alleged to have raped a woman whilst she slept after she had had consensual sex with a teammate.

Bit of a 'proper' one this. Villereal defender Ruben Semedo has been charged with attempted murder - alleged to have been one of two who tied a man up, beat him with baseball bats and threatened him with a gun, before shooting at him (and missing) as he tried to escape.

Fcuking hell. He was eventually convicted of kidknapping, and went to prison. I don't know much about the Spanish legal system, but he has paid a bail that appears to see him now permanently released, albeit on some kind of license thing. He's been on loan at Huesca.

The linked trials were Sam Sodje's! He's been cleared of fraudulent trading and money laundering, meanwhile their fifth brother Akpo has been on the run for the past two years with a European Arrest Warrant on his head.

Reporting restrictions have been in place so long that the three imprisoned brothers will have already completed their sentences by now...

Turan is very close to Erdogan and helped with his campaigning. I wrote on here before that a Turk told me it is heavily discussed to point of being accepted as 'fact' by many in Turkey that Erdogan's Govt helped fund Turan's move to Barcelona to give him a big platform during the campaign and then also later paid to transfer him to Basaksehir (Erdogans club - his brother in law runs it, companies who sponsor them 'win' big govt tenders etc) where he spends his time sitting on the bench earning the biggest wage in the league while attending swanky government do's here and there.

I wouldn't be massively surprised if he somehow avoided prison
