If we got a 7 figure fee for him and kept him for the rest of the season, I think thats the best for all parties.blythspartan wrote:Could be a good deal.

Leicester City are keen on Reading defender Tyler Bindon.
They want to leave the Kiwi international on loan at Reading for the rest of the season, and then bring him into the fold in summer

Read the 15 minute bit as £15 million initially and got very overexcited. Any amount of cash for him (and a loan back) would be a no brainier, given he goes for free in six months - clearly this is true for 80% of the squad!blythspartan wrote:Could be a good deal.

£2m package probably means £1m up front at most. Maybe closer to £500k. Still a decent offer though.Pepe the Horseman wrote:Here we go. Southampton have made an offer worth £2m for Garcia, according to Fabrizio Romano. Initial bid rejected, but not clear if this is the initial bid, or an upped bid.
Edit: looks like this is the improved offer.

Now that’ll come in useful in Southern league.Snowflake Royal wrote:Take it. All day long. Great future potential, but does the least damage to the current match day squad for the most money in.
Obviously if we can get more / more upfront / bigger sell on through hardball then do it, but don't miss out on the cash.
It would be nice to get £10m in a season or two, but we need to survive the now.
I'd take it. If he's the only one we lose that's a result. His temperament somtimes let's him down, never know what you'll get with him but bung a decent sell on clause amount and it becomes a good deal.Pepe the Horseman wrote:Here we go. This 100% Hound!! The club probably would have folded a year ago without the Academy. If this is proof to any potential new owner that this is front and center to ensure you keep the academy going as you really can almost become sustainable with a decent well run youth set up.Hound wrote:We’d have to accept really. Nobody had heard of him start of the season and academy paying its way again
Add another 100% to the pile from me.Crowbar6753 wrote:This 100% Hound!! The club probably would have folded a year ago without the Academy. Sell two or three young players each season with a decent sell on fee and boom you become sustainable.
