Don't think so - it is in the same place on the plans as it is now - but higher, of course.Reading Abbey wrote:Any plans to stick the scoreboard, or two, under the roof at the ends of the North and South Stands, thus giving back 100 odd seats?
Is that right? I knew they'd obvioulsly need to add an additional concourse level above the existing one, but 2 new concourse levels and possibly 3 more?STAR Campaigns wrote:- There will be a single tier, with 3 or 4 concourse levels behind it.
It is not necessarily a need for the concourses but a matter of using the space or leaving it void. For instance there is a level above the current concourse and the jazz cafe as there are 3 levels on the West, then as the increase doubles the height there could be 2 more easily.LumpWarden wrote:Is that right? This doesn't actually work very well. The atmosphere in Stretford End Tier 2 is very good, however, because the roof slopes down it keeps the noise in that one area of the ground and does nothing to help it get going all around the ground. At the moment the whole ground can sing together due to the bowl and flat roof. With the roof going down different parts of the ground will be singing separately and while it may seem loud where you are, the roof will stop most of the noise from going all around the ground.STAR Campaigns wrote:

We'll just have to sing louder and stronger thenGarry Mann wrote:This doesn't actually work very well. Why not two screens?Reading Abbey wrote:Quibbling?Rawlie19 wrote:We're adding 15,000 seats, and you're quibling about 100?
If moving the score board meant retrieving 100 or so seats, then it's more bums on seats and more money in the clubs coffers!
So you can see it better in the photos?Legend wrote:STAR - having just seen the PDF on the website, why oh why is the exapansion going to be RED ???????????
It specifically says the new bits are red for clarity:Legend wrote:STAR - having just seen the PDF on the website, why oh why is the exapansion going to be RED ???????????
Will it be visible from all of the new seats? I'd have thought that, if the front of the roof is at the same height as it is now and the scoreboard is moved up and back from its current position, then some of the higher seats in the North Stand wouldn't be able to see it.STAR Campaigns wrote:Don't think so - it is in the same place on the plans as it is now - but higher, of course.Reading Abbey wrote:Any plans to stick the scoreboard, or two, under the roof at the ends of the North and South Stands, thus giving back 100 odd seats?
Presumably, don't forget they are literally raising the roof. The outline of the new roof is definitely higher than the current one on the plans.lushrfc wrote: Will it be visible from all of the new seats? I was tempted to reply with a 'Gosh never thought of that'royal.badger wrote:STAR
I feel that you should push for an official supporters club bar / headquaters incorprated into one of the new stands.
The Jazz cafe is ok but not really good enough / big enough.
Proper old school supporters club for STAR members.
What uses of the space did you sugest. A proper bookies without the massive queues would be good?starliaison wrote:It is not necessarily a need for the concourses but a matter of using the space or leaving it void. We did make several sensible and well received suggestions for use of this space that is not all prawn sandwich orientated.
