It's the holier-than-thou certainty that so many here write off players

Roberts
Cummings
Harte

Tabb
Noel Hunt
Karacan
Long

all "weren't good enough"

Basically, they no squat and the best of them knows a tenth
of what the manager knows.
Maybe they no(sic) the difference between no and know eh?

Think you want to look in the mirror when it comes to the "holier than thou". Rehashing posts from people giving an honest opinion on a signing at the time it's made is beyond pathetic.

Hindsight is a lovely thing...

Would you be digging this shit up if he was utter gash?

When was the last time you posted an opinion Snowball, and not a stat? The last opinion I ever saw from you was about Shane Long (top effort on that btw)

FORE-sight is a wonderful thing too, and I believe in the manager's judgment over every person on this board.

And "in hindsight" I have see the local "experts get it wrong 19/20 times.

I have been posting since November that we are a MUCH better side than our league position suggested,
saying that the first six games distorted our position (and have been hammered for it even though
the match programme, the Os and the manager now agree with me)

A couple of months ago I predicted we would get 86 points and finish top
and I was told that was "bloody ridiculous"

I have ALWAYS supported and praised Noel Hunt and said, when he partnered Doyle
that his usefulness was much higher than people realised, but he only played 55-65
minutes per game and he was probably as good as Doyle.

I said Shane Long would get 20+ goals as a Championship player.

I told everybody to lump on EW when he was 25-1.

When the bookies were suggesting RFC would get 71-72 points I said "lump on" because that is WAY under what we'll get.

I was beaten into a corner defending Ian Harte and saying he would be fantastic for us.

I predicted we would get into last season's POs when that was a VERY long way off.

I have predicted and predict that Cummings will be a top player.

I say that if Karacan learns to score 6-8 goals per season he'll play for a Premiership top-half club

I backed Elwood from his very first game when some called him Gash

I said, if he avoided injury, Connolly would come in immediately and play every game.

You could probably multiply that by 3 or 4

That's some quality predicting there.

FFS, we've already had the LOLs at the knockers on Mr Roberts. Get with the programme snowball, you're a month a late and it was only done on the page before you started.

I still think he's a poor finisher as it happens (well, average anyway) and would still we rather signed players on the up rather than on the way down.

Try again snowflake

Indeed Snowball, there's nothing wrong with a bit of banter, but once again you've taken it way past the point of being even slightly amusing.

Times are good, now us RTG's need to show some humility and join with all RFC fans in enjoying the promotion party.

Well I told everyone that Brian would do well when he first became manager but you don't see me going on and on about it do you? Do you? When everyone else was calling him "McDonut" and "baldy" I was one of the few to back him but I don't bore every one stupid about it. Where were you then Snowbell? When I was backing Brian at the start when everyone was criticising him.

Same with me and Jimmy Kebe.

None of us on here are experts and nobody gets it right even most of the time. Thsi season has confounded everyone's expectations (I don't recall a single person tipping us for the top 2 last November!) so let's just enjoy it.

I said 2nd in July. Obviously, I revised that downwards at the end of last year, but never for one minute did I think there was a chance we'd be in with a chance of winning the Championship. I thought it would be a late surge to sneak in there or that another team would be way out in front.
