22 Apr 2025 14:49TBF there were some rather more complimentary comments from their fans on Twitter. Praised us for fully capitalising on their mistakes, Praise for Wing's goal and also some praise of Wareham and the way he made their defenders' lives a misery throughout. From Despair To Where? wrote:During the game, both. Bemoaning the fact they gifted us 5 goals but commenting that we just took every chance handed to us.
Hurts more because Reading didn't have to do anything really, certainly didnt break a sweat did theyTo me it felt like we gifted them every goal through errors we made in our defensive third. The scoreline makes it look as though they bossed the game but they created little by themselves

27 Apr 2025 10:41Their forum is quite a depressing place currently. Generally moaning about the state of the club, management, certain players etc. eg.Royals and Racers wrote:Any gems from the ‘ gas ‘ or are they all moaning about their club !!
Not a lot about Reading beyond Pereira being class, keeping RFC in it and that Reading were just clinical and Rovers wasteful. Pretty much the same impression for any that watched the game.I could go into a lot of details but...
The substitution of Kofi Shaw was the most ridiculous substitution in my 50 plus years of supporting Rovers. Fing ridiculous. We ended up with Dewsbury and Connor Taylor up-front. Wow!
Post-match Chris Lines and James Wilson basically summed up that the club is rotten to the core.
I was determined to sort out a protest, but our support base is so deflated to make this a realistic proposition. Nothing today.
I think that we are doomed. Ageing and passive fanbase. Clowns at the top.

27 Apr 2025 12:21Rovers fans definitely more decent than the Brizzle Shitty ones. Some of our fans were probably goading a bit too much to get a reaction which would provoke trouble for most fans tbh.East Grinstead Royal wrote:Aging fan base? That’s a new one on me! True dinosaurs, then. Shame, I always found Rovers fans to be more grounded and approachable than the City lot who, even thirty years ago, were obsessed with the notion their club was a sleeping giant that was just a couple of signings away from top flight football.

This is utter garbage.
What’s the actual plan here? Keep punting it long in the hope they make a mistake?
This is getting hard to watch, the long balls keep coming straight back. Simple passes aren’t finding their targets. We really need a shake up.

02 Nov 2025 16:48Reading were poor - looked like an under 21 side - how many changes did they make?
How refreshing to read the Reading forum and their fans angry that we were far fitter than their team - the fitness factor alone must have been one of the reasons our season has gone as as well as it has so far.
If you listen to the [Chris Conn-Clarke] interview on BBC Sounds pre-Reading he's asked about his fitness and he said he was getting up to speed quicker than he thought because the training is so intense.
It makes a change for us as we've looked one of the least fittest teams pre-Hughes for around 2 or 3 seasons.

02 Nov 2025 16:54And they looked a lot fitter than us......which again begs the question what the hell has Hunt been doing with them and why do they seem so undisciplined in their attitude.Clyde1998 wrote:Carlisle fans:Reading were poor - looked like an under 21 side - how many changes did they make? How refreshing to read the Reading forum and their fans angry that we were far fitter than their team - the fitness factor alone must have been one of the reasons our season has gone as as well as it has so far.If you listen to the [Chris Conn-Clarke] interview on BBC Sounds pre-Reading he's asked about his fitness and he said he was getting up to speed quicker than he thought because the training is so intense.

02 Nov 2025 17:02It was a weird game. Up to 90 it was by far our easiest and most comprehensive performance of the season. Then we shat the bed and Carlisle was massively superior in ET. Maybe it was fitness or just mentalityAscotexgunner wrote:And they looked a lot fitter than us......which again begs the question what the hell has Hunt been doing with them and why do they seem so undisciplined in their attitude.Clyde1998 wrote:Carlisle fans:Reading were poor - looked like an under 21 side - how many changes did they make? How refreshing to read the Reading forum and their fans angry that we were far fitter than their team - the fitness factor alone must have been one of the reasons our season has gone as as well as it has so far.If you listen to the [Chris Conn-Clarke] interview on BBC Sounds pre-Reading he's asked about his fitness and he said he was getting up to speed quicker than he thought because the training is so intense.

07 Nov 2025 09:41I remember saying the same about West Ham and us as a cocky teenager about 20 years ago. In hindsight the idea we could sustainably compete with them as a club is bonkers, and so is the idea that Stevenage could with us. 5 - 10 years maybe, but not long termwindermereROYAL wrote:Reading are a has-been club, on the way down. We are on the up even though we lost tonight. Two and a half weeks to get these two, recent, poor results out of our system. Then we go again...not the end of the world. More lessons to be learnt by everyone and we'll come out fighting again. COYB
