Jamie Cureton will be on TalkSport later this afternoon after

England veterans, with ex-Prem and EFL players, thrash France to win 2026 Seniors World Cup

And he only went and scored in the Final:

Senior WC – Final – England 4-0 France (ENG goals from Barry Hayles, Jamie Cureton, Aaron O’Connor, and Karl Duguid)

Why wasn’t this on SKY, better than the endless repeats of play off finals and PL games from 20 years ago.

Michael Olise has just scored for France against Northern Ireland in Lille. The game is on BBC Three.

Chronic reporting Tyrell Ashcroft has been released by Spurs? Always thought this young lad had plenty of potential, would any of you think about taking him back? Would be worth a shout.

I wouldn't mind giving him a trial. Seems to potentially be a player who's career will have been heavily stunted by playing U21 football for too long. He didn't get any loan opportunities whilst at Tottenham.

I think he looked promising in his fleeting appearances for us, but having not played any serious or meaningful football since he left us, this would be a no from me.

Makes you wonder how he would have developed if he'd have stayed here.

Agreed. Worth a trial but not played much first team football for a 21 year old.

Good points, worth a short term contract and loaned out to Div2 or Conference for game time and see how it goes. Pretty much a low risk option.
