Thing is, if it's 2 managers and things haven't improved, maybe the players need to focus on themselves? What if we have the same problems under the next manager?

I think it was after Jose Gomes got sacked that the squad at the time took a bit of heat, as you can only change so many managers.

Maybe the response to this isn't a managerial change but instead getting draconian on the squad in the summer. Clear out the deadwood, and those who don't leave easily can train with the U21s.

Indeed she has. And she didn’t just do it quietly, she did it, and then told everyone she did it. It’s a statement for sure. Why would you remove the pic of Leam holding a Reading scarf back to Wigan pictures. And announce to the world she’s made that change.

They'll be quite a bit of that this summer I'd have thought. Last summer was always going to be a bit of a bin fire considering how long the takeover took to happen so hopefully this year they'll get rid of the deadwood and have a proper clear plan on who they want to bring in and you'd hope that stuff has been happening behind the scenes since the transfer window closed in January to get a lot of deals already lined up ready to go. For once we might be able to get the main business done early and then take stock after the first few games as to whether there's any loan deals we need to get in.

Firstly, any player who goes running to the local rag to moan can oxf*rd all the way off, oxf*rd off some more and then oxf*rd off again. Complain to the manager, CEO, the owner if you must, but keep it internal. Airing your dirty laundry in public is never the right thing to do and it's classless. If you don't like it, get yourself a move away from the club.

Secondly, for all of Richardson's faults and there are many, the players are all experienced enough to take responsibility for what goes on, on the pitch. I'm not having the excuses being made for some of the players at the moment. If you do your job better, we'll concede fewer goals. This squad just isn't good enough for the top 6.

Lastly, this journalist is just terrible, no better than a tabloid hack. Possibly even worse than Jonathan Low and that's saying something.
