Evidence Stam is going back to 4-3-3 and wants inside forwards. Happy with this transfer, although leaves some questions for me over the balance of the squad. Amazed we still don't have a left back to play if Obita gets injured, and amazed that even Barca see the need for a Busquets yet we only have JVDB for this job. Oh, and a striker would help!

Amazed you haven't heard of Tyler Blackett, as a 3rd choice we've got Gunter and then there's Richards. He's inexperienced and would be a gamble but we do have options.
Not sure what role JVB is covering on his own because Evans played quite a few games in front of the back 4 as did Kelly. Not like for likes but is variety better than similarity ? It's not like Joey was ever present in midfield (what with suspension, injury and playing in defence)

I'd also not worry about the balance just yet. There's clearly work going on and we have signed a striker.
