No with a but

Yes with an if

We’ll have a fairly set view of what we’re offering - i would dare say it stays the same even with a manager change.

But one or two players might have different views or more information.

Changing manager now - if you want to be a joke club - won’t change all that much. The biggest changes will be due to personalities, or a new guy wanting to make a statement. The gaps in squad are pretty self-evident.

But you do run the risk of someone wanting an entirely different vision, so we start again at zero.

The idea that changing the manager, when we’ve had a solid season and have just left three to four years of chaos, will just make things better, well it don’t butter my parsnips .

If Leam goes I assume the new manager will have to assess the squad and decide on who he wants which will take time and hamper the pre-season preparation again. So if they were thinking about ditching Richardson it would make sense to do it sooner rather than later. Unless they've already identified the new guy and briefed him on the squad (or recruiting from within again?)

Also assume the Club will have an idea on which players will leave in the summer, either at their request, due to end of contract, selling for big bucks or seen as surplus to requirements.

Only three games left before hopefully it all becomes clear...
Well don’t shoot the messenger but I was told the person lined up to take over is/was Valérien Ismaël

Well if it is to be him at some point the football purists calling for LR's sacking will be doing the same by Christmas unless we are at the top of the table

Wonder whether that's being leaked to make us feel we'd be better off sticking with Richardson!

One decent season at Barnsley where he got them to pip Reading to the playoffs but since then he’s had 8 months of a 4 year deal at WBA, gone through the Watford revolving managerial doors in next to no time and had almost 1 year of cr@p results at Blackburn so certainly sounds like someone who’d be considered an ideal candidate by Reading based on the recent malaise of managerial appointments.

Personally, Leam better be staying.

I think Wayne Rooney deserves another chance in management.

Not the worst shout.... Not that I have Welsh bias but Giggs was starting to do an amazing job with Wales before his scandal, good football to watch as well but might have been out the game too long....but I would love Robbie Savage as manager.... He is building quite a CV.

Here is the Chronicle article published today regarding the dressing room leak (not behind firewall) -

https://archive.ph/20260421170808/https ... room-leak/

There has been some arguing between Ramy and Tim Dellor today over on that Twitter

So Hunt was sacked when we were 9pts off 6th having played a game more

Now we're 9pts off 6th having played the same games.

Progress.

I think it’s been all said, BUT it does seem that there are a few very unhappy souls in the changing room.
My qualms with Richardson are that if you’ve got someone like Lane, who you know will run at defenders, why not play him?! And then he has Marriott, who is apparently fit enough to be on the bench but not fit enough for 30 mins?!
Richardson, for me and senior Franc, has no real plan A. And when that gets found out, which we’ve seen a lot in recent games, then we struggle. We’re hampered by players hoping and expecting that Wing will do something. But for me his body language recently has been that of a player who doesn’t want to be there, whether true or not.
As for that piece in the Chronicle, that’s a biggie in my opinion. Whoever the player/s is/are who went to the paper, they’ve got some big balls and well done to them. Just a quick one for any ITK, like Brogue etc, might you know who the disgruntled party/parties are?

It was probably Brogue who made up the story in the first place!
