'greed. Rules is rules!LWJ wrote:Not sure what the fuss is - they missed the deadline, it's not like it came out the blue they knew when it was.genome wrote:Fifa has rejected Leicester's application to register Adrien Silva after they missed the deadline by 14 secs.
EFL apparently agree in principle to shut the window for permanent transfers prior to the season but loan signings can continue up until the end of August.Silver Fox wrote:PL clubs vote to shut the transfer window (sorry Jim white, slam the window shut) before the start of the season. I'd like the EFL to follow suit and other leagues too tbf
Yes, although we've already seen that with Mbappe under the current system.Stranded wrote:
Seems like a sensible compromise, could be abused I guess as a player could just join a club on loan and sign permanently during the next window.
Money talks though and I image PSG paid a bit extra for the privilege of getting him this year.Sanguine wrote:Yes, although we've already seen that with Mbappe under the current system.Stranded wrote:

Which is still a deal I'm struggling to understand. Monaco have essentially done their biggest rival a favour - they could have insisted on Mbappe staying with them for 17/18, surely?
Interesting move. Can't see why they'd want him when they've got Loftus-Cheek.Winston Biscuit wrote:Ross Barkley reportedly agrees to join Chelsea. £15M transfer fee.
Apparently in addition to the £15m transfer fee, Barkley's agent got £7m.Hoop Blah wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-me ... e-42626014
Mayor of Liverpool kicking off about the Barkley transfer!
They did, rather than lose him for nothing.genome wrote:But Everton accepted the £15m bid, no?
If reports are correct and Arsenal are set to get money + Henrikh Mkhitaryan, that should be the deal they accept.Sanguine wrote:Manchester United reported to have tabled a bid for Alexis Sanchez. #bantz
Hadn't actually read that - Mkhitaryan + cash for a player who doesn't want to be there and can leave for free in six months? No brainer.Hendo wrote:If reports are correct and Arsenal are set to get money + Henrikh Mkhitaryan, that should be the deal they accept.Sanguine wrote:Manchester United reported to have tabled a bid for Alexis Sanchez. #bantz
