Whats concerning there is there are only around 20 of them with first team experience, but Swift, Araruna, Yiadam are long term injuries, Joao is out for a little while, then there is Aluko.morganb wrote:There is a key under the photo if that helps identify people:

Clearly not seen as a senior team option given his absence.
The days of utility players.....Snowflake Royal wrote:Only 20? Anyone else remember when a typical squad was about 23 players, not 33?

Dorsett has been given a new contract but is missing here. Think it’s likely they’re both injured and none of the new people have had a chance to evaluate them.Stranded wrote:Who has Thierry Nevers pissed off btw?

Yeah, good point. We spent a lot of time complaining about having too big a squad. The balance is still off which is why is looks a bit bare but we are not far off.Snowflake Royal wrote:Only 20? Anyone else remember when a typical squad was about 23 players, not 33?
Lose Walker, McNulty, Smith and Baldock for a DM, ST and LW and it's spot on IMO... quality may not always be there but balance would be right.NewCorkSeth wrote:Yeah, good point. Luckily there are half inch options available to bridge the gap between full inches !NewCorkSeth wrote:Perhaps. It is a rather useless unit of measurement seeing as there is 2.54 cms in an inch meaning someone who is 178cm, someone who is 179cm and someone who is 180cm are all 5ft10.Nameless wrote:If that is João to his right then Holmes is at least the same height and he’s at least 2 inches taller than McIntyre. Presumably living in France you struggle with English units of measurement ....NewCorkSeth wrote: Well, well, well. Who was I arguing over Holmes' height with? Doesn't look the supposed giant here does he. In fact, he looks an inch or so taller than the 6ft1 McIntyre and an inch or so shorter than the 6ft3 Joao..
I may have made up those heights but imma stick with it.
Anyway if you think there looks to be 2 inches difference between McIntyre and Holmes I can only presume you think Sam Walker is about 4 inches taller than Holmes which, by my calculation puts him at a respectable 6ft7...
I wouldnt say no to a specialist LB..Snowflake Royal wrote:Lose Walker, McNulty, Smith and Baldock for a DM, ST and LW and it's spot on IMO... quality may not always be there but balance would be right.NewCorkSeth wrote:Yeah, good point. tis indeed. Funnily enough there was a big argument between two fans on twitter a few weeks ago about the height of Richards, with one user claiming he was "at least 6ft".. his argument was that he met him and Richards was taller than himself.Nameless wrote:Luckily there are half inch options available to bridge the gap between full inches !NewCorkSeth wrote:Perhaps. Walker is listed in most places as being 6’6”.
It’s a dead end discussion to be honest, Tom Holmes is significantly taller than Tom McIntyre, Walker is significantly taller than Tom Holmes. Tom Holmes appears slightly taller than João stood next to him but I reckon he’s got a bit more hair...
took me longer than I am proud of to realise you are not talking about Nige..Snowflake Royal wrote:Decision to let Howe go is looking pretty questionable again.
Between end of last season and our two RB injuries he could easily have amassed a decent number of appearances by Xmas.

What is making the decision to change Howe’s job description now more questionable ?Snowflake Royal wrote:Decision to let Howe go is looking pretty questionable again.

Howe is League One standard - would offer up more about him and players view, but wont be getting into that debate. He added nothing to positive team performance.Snowflake Royal wrote:Decision to let Howe go is looking pretty questionable again.
