I don't pay attention, but I make regular sacrifices to the mountain gods in hope of obtaining wisdom.

Some news is worth getting first and quickly (there's a Tsunami on the way, your wife has gone into labour etc)
Knowing some random footballer is having a medical is the sort of news I can handle at 24-48 hours delay and not feel I'm missing much !!

Indeed, never saw the need for everything to be instant.
Reading about it on a Friday in the Chronicle used to be just fine !!

It was always about checking teletext as soon as I got in, just waiting and hoping for that headline saying we'd sign someone.

The owners will not be disclosing our transfer kitty publicly. That would be a terrible idea.

They have obviously been discussing the coaching staff Clarke is on the verge of bringing in; and are no doubt finalising the budget (which is most likely changing constantly as sponsorship deals and next seasons commercial income is finalised).

See you all in a week or so; when I'm sure these pages will be splayed with abuse towards our owners because we haven't signed 6 or 7 senior players already - whilst the majority of the football world are still on their holidays.
It's all very good and well giving them the benefit of the doubt like that, but why wasn't the sponsorship (with their own company) agreed sooner? Why are we seemingly the last football club in the football league still waiting to agree a transfer/wage budget? Why are we still without a number of coaching staff? It's all a bit amature really!

Not sure I believe that but if there's a chance I sure hope he comes back as a squad player.

Been doing a little googling to see what was happening with Jem. Looks like Gala are a little sceptical over Jem's injury record (or at least what I can gather from this pretty shoddy translation:

Galatasaray have agreed some time ago that Paul is cautious about Jem Karacan transfer.

Expatriate football player , learned that various disabilities live in Reading Hamza teacher, asked for a detailed examination . The medical team is now trying to get the injury report from the English club . All season Hamzaoğlu who want to see the names of the staff to be efficient , until a positive report from Jem Karacan , this transfer request was certainly not to be finished.
