That's hardly going to be a major issue. There is tons of space at Bearwood, and they will do a deal where any trees felled will be replaced. The council will just be trying to squeeze as much money out of the club as possible, which is whatthe planning process is all about.UpThePrem wrote:Which is currently struggling because of the preservation or movement of trees!!North Somerset Royal wrote:No they havnt. The area around Hogwood is currently being sold off for property development. Far be it from me to suggest that AZ has had the proverbial £££ rolling in his eyes and considered that he could sell off Hogwood to the property developers and then buy elsewhere, without actually investing any new net capital himself?ZacNaloen wrote:But Anton has no money and we are broke and he's going to sell up?
I seem to recall that Hogwood has always been owned directly by JM and RFC pay rent on it, so wouldn't have formed part of the original deal. Hogwood Park is OUTSIDE of the Arborfield Garrison SDL and is therefore not zoned for residential development. Surrounding areas are planned for development but Hogwood Park is shown as a green open space. Its value, therefore, will be far less.Big Foot wrote:The area around Hogwood is currently being sold off for property development. Apparently, according to a contact, Wokingham BC can't wait to have RFC's training ground in their patch so maybe pp might not be so much of a problem after all.Nameless wrote:That's hardly going to be a major issue.
