"Buddy Club" in action again!

Gourmless was at Man Utd when Bruce was there , albeit as a player...

Having said that cant be any worse than current and has a pretty good track record in Championship..

In for that...if you look at his track record over the piece at this level its pretty decent, got Villa who were in complete disarray before he arrived into the play-offs in 18 months.

Sorry Parky fans but he's a much better option

How long until we get the "We've let the manager down and need to do better" tweets with Bruce as well as with Stam before and Clement (inevitably).

Presume this is just another made up load of spudulikes

However I would be very supportive of this if it were true as he has 20 years of management experience to the highest level. He seems able to manage clubs to some basic success and with decent board backing in terms of time and finance I would say he should be capable of turning Reading into at the very least a top end Division 2/Championship side.

Of course the current state of things at the club may mean relegation is an inevitability this season whether Clement was manager or Pep Guardiola was suddenly appointed - in which case why not stick with Clement whatever?

Steve Bruce, I would stay, still has the contacts in the game and certainly I would expect his sides to play with more passion and desire than what Clement and Stam seem to instill. Question is, while I have no doubt the board could afford him, will club's position and associated FFP constraints make the club attractive to him as he seems to have had a lot financial support from other clubs which means he used to working with and being around better quality players.

But at the end of the day, whether PC stays or goes, it's all just one big unknown but at least SB has played the game to the highest level, knows what it takes to win and is a winner himself so shouldn't take anyone not on the same wavelength.

One thing's for certain the club needs to make a decision before the international break so if they do make a change whoever comes in has time to assess for themselves the shortcomings and can make the moves THEY want in January. Last thing you want is it all drifting on and on like it did with Stam.

By the way anyone know if Mr Bruce would bring his own managerial team with him or is he happy to suss out the situation at a club and decide if changes need to be made?

Not a guy to rebuild a relationship with supporters. Divided opinion at AV. Spent and wasted a huge sum of money as well. Difficult to see him taking on a job where relegation is a possibility. Reading have to go back to basics to achieve.

That said most of that surrounds his association with Birmingham

Another great win for Bournemouth on Saturday. Where can Bournemouth end up come May? Will they get a Europa spot????

Perhaps Reading could prise Eddie Howe away from Bournemouth.

Not sure Flounce4eva could cope with that sort of thing, he'd oxf*rd himself into a coma.

I think he is very happy being backed by a Russian with real money-another £50 million spent in the last window and the investment is paying off.

If only the Mad Man had enough business savvy to realise that our Russian had empty rather than deep pockets.

Bruce - wouldn't be completely against. Vastly experienced and you'd expect him to get us out of relegation trouble

He isn't a man who'd want to be flirting with relegation every season though. There is nothing to suggest the current crop of players are anything but relegation fodder based on recent showings. He can do better than us.
