I forgot about Daniel Stendel actually, he seemed to do ok at Barnsley and wouldn't be a bad option if we dropped into League One I don't think.

I logged in to Twitter for the first time in months, saw us linked with bringing Rooney back to the UK, then logged back out. It was a US sports account. I guess there could be something in it, but meh either way.

Pointless reading into anything until we know what division we'll be in next season. Half of the people mentioned wont want to drop a league.

Absolutely agree with this but also that all managerial possibilities should be checked out whether Kia has been involved or not. Personally I’d prefer a Nathan Jones, Noel Hunt or Dylan Kerr type to get the gig if they wanted it but all managers will be unknown quantities when they arrive at a club, all you can do is try to mitigate the likelihood of getting a dud outcome as much a possible (something the previous regime has utterly failed to do in every respect time after time after time).

I actually think appointing a more rookie manager in league one would be more likely to work than in the championship.

Why not, the club have shown a desire for managers with hardly great records in inferior leagues previously, at least this one brings someone that also fulfils the ex-player scenario that several seem to want and who knows, as with any managerial appointment, he might become the next big name!

Only mentioned because they were popular players who've gone into management, not because they're good choices for manager.

Kerr's managerial CV makes Gomes' look impressive. Albeit he's more successful.

I'm not sure if it is exclusive to us but our fanbase seem to be obsessed with the past, more so than most.

Kerr's record is actually fairly decent but in recent years he seems to have become no more than a specialist in saving clubs from relegation in South Africa - nowt wrong with that but not sure that makes him a candidate for a club looking to move away from relegation scraps.

That's fair, but I think it is pretty decent for a rookie manager who had only done a bit of youth coaching previously.
