That is all
27 years old, scored 12 in 24 starts (+6 as sub) this season. Rotherham reportedly spent £1m on him from Exeter in 2023. He is currently under contract until next summer (2027).

To date has 63 goals in 173(73) league games.

Had a spell on loan at Maidenhead (from Oxford City) in 2019.

Rather have Uncle Sam :?

I live in Chesterfield and a Rotherham fan across the road from me told me that we’re considering making an offer. He works for the club, so who knows.

Seems to be a logical step, decent at this level (12 goals in a badly struggling side) and possibly might be able to step up higher with some confidence and belief. Born in Croydon so probably wouldn’t mind being based nearer his roots.

Clear as day where our problems are, 13 shots on goal yesterday, didn`t test their keeper once. urgent priority in the summer to get people in to solve that shit show.

Well he won't get any confidence or belief here with Richardson in charge.

Richardson going for another player he knows from one of his previous clubs and one who spent a lot of last season unable to play due to injuries!
Key Injury Details (2025-2026):
Facial Injury (April 2026): Nombe was expected to play through the discomfort of a potential broken nose in the build-up to the Port Vale match.

Thigh/Quad Injury (November 2025): Missed time due to a "tightened" quad during shooting practice, initially causing concern, according to Facebook (Rotherham Advertiser).

Hamstring Injury (August/October 2025): Suffered a serious hamstring injury early in the 2025/26 season, described as a "monstrous blow" by management.

:| Players get injured and one of the above is a contact injury, what’s his full injury history? If that’s full of hamstring and tendon issues then that’s when the alarm bells should ring.

Any player signing is a risk whoever it is, one would expect the club to do due diligence on each before putting them through the expense of a medical.

He played in their last 22 fixtures of the season.

45 minutes in his first game back from injury and the full 90 minutes in all but 2 others (at least 75 minutes in both the other 2). He played the full 90 minutes in their last 18 games.

Transfermarkt (which is usually quite reliable) does list him as missing 2 months with a hamstring injury 4 years ago but I suspect the list isn't complete as it doesn't list this season's injuries.

However, in the 3 seasons since that hamstring injury prior to this one he played 43, 46 and 43 league games.

An internet search suggests he's pacey, strong and mobile, although unlikely to get you 20 goals a season.

If he got 12 to 15 goals and took a little bit of pressure off Marriott, that wouldn't be too bad. We need more goals from the wide forwards and our number 10, whoever they may be.

Yeah, I don't think goals are that crucial if he's able to bring other players into the game, I was responding more to the suggestion that missing a chunk of last season suggests he's injury prone when he was virtually ever present for the half season after recovering and the 3 seasons prior.

To be honest though, I don't really know much about what sort of player he is other than what I've gleaned from the internet.

Having a quick look on the Rotherham forum and opinion of him is mixed.

A few say he flatters to deceive, although that may be influenced by the £1.2m they spent on him. Others say he's hard working and certainly too good for League 2. Apparently his agent has been agitating for a move though.

General consensus is that, with a year left on his contract and being one of their better players, he won't be at Rotherham next year.

It’s definitely a position we need to strengthen and support Kelvin and Marriott next year, neither who are totally reliable for one reason or another

Know little of him but the profile seems about right for us

Suggestion Sheff Wed may also be looking at Nombe.
