cmonurz I'm beginning to realise that the reason I'm so fed up with the situation at RFC is that if we accept that we had to sell/release all the players we did to balance the books, and that we can't or won't compete with many clubs in this division on a financial basis, then it makes results like today's completely inevitable. And I struggle with that, tbh. Games we just won't win, 9 times out of 10. What's the point?

I'd doubt that even now our wage budget is in the bottom 8 of the division. Likewise I'd doubt there are a huge number of teams who have committed in excess of £3m in transfer fees in this division.

Its very frustrating particularly when so many former players are playing in the Premiership.
The thought of being back in the lower divisions is a depressing thought.

It's the managers who are in charge of the transfer dealings and if you are referring to the players being sold, did you not see the club's financial statement?

Ian Royal So not really answering the question still.

M'boro are simply better than us this season. Yet the difference between the two teams is clinical finishing. And in case you hadn't noticed Rodgers has kept the same formation for the last 3 games, and the same team for the last 2 now. So we're are getting stability.

You're reaction suggests you were expecting us to get a result today. That was stupid.

I never expect us to get a result. I go to games just to watch good football, and support my club. A win is a bonus. The result doesn't even touch the sides, mate. We lose - oh well. Life sucks.

Rodgers has some funny ideas. As I said, I like him, but the only points we've got this season are with a crabby 4-5-1, and the points we have at this stage x4 = possible relegation.

DO YOU SEE?

we just have to accept the fact that madejski experiment is over and unless we get a rich owner we simply can't compete with the top clubs.. middle table we can hope for but we might be going back where we come from

I see us gradually improving, if not under Rodgers, then under a replacement come January. Give the situation it's impossible to judge where we'll finish right now.

Or rather, Harper did more than other midfielders are for us. I've been saying for along time how under-rated James was. We are missing him.

How much did he cost? He has 10 games, 0 goals and 0 assists this season.
