St-Ettiene's great 2nd half of the season continues, this time coming back from a goal down and a man down to win 2-1 with goals in the 91st & 94th minute!

5 games to go and they are 1 point away from an automatic promotion place

Winston Biscuit 97th minute equaliser for Leverkusen to keep the unbeaten Bundesliga season going

They will just not be beaten.

89th minute equaliser at West Ham last week.
On 30th March they beat Hoffenheim 2-1, having been a goal behind after 88 minutes.
Two weeks earlier they were 2-1 behind at home to Qarabag in the Europa League after 93 minutes, and they won 3-2.
In the first leg at Qarabag they had equalised in the 92nd minute.
Third game of the season at Bayern they equalised through a 94th minute penalty.

4 games left that on paper you would expect them to get at least a point from.

At the bottom - the incredible Mainz recovery under Bo Henriksen continues - they are out of the bottom 3 now following 3 wins and 2 draws in their last 5 games. They had only won 2 games all season before this run. They have 17th placed Köln next.

In the 2. Bundesliga - Hamburg lose again to all but end their promotion hopes for another season - the "one season loan" to the 2. will enter its 6th season next year.

Barring a miracle turn around I believe next season will be the first time that HSV will play at a lower level than St Pauli. Is actually possible that St Pauli could win promotion at HSV in a couple of weeks time.

Me too

Come on boys, just a few minutes to safety

I'd be a lot more worried against 11

one of those odd situations coming up on Thursday where a game has to have the last few minutes played as it was abandoned previously. final 18 minutes of Udinese Vs Roma will be played, with the teams starting at 1-1

also Fabio Cannavaro just became the Udinese manager for the final 5 1/5 games of the season

Leverkusen's title breaks Kingsley Coman's streak of 11 consecutive league winners' medals with three different clubs (Juventus, PSG, Bayern) - which appears to be a record where a player has played for multiple teams. There are examples of longer streaks in countries where one team has dominated a league, for example Lee Casciaro won 14 consecutive league titles with Lincoln Red Imps, in Gibraltar.

Javier Tebas (Head of La Liga) says some Spanish League matches will be played in America, probably from the 25/26 season

they didn't wait around long after that court verdict

Surely the last 18 mins should have to be managed by whoever was in charge for the previous match.

Having said that, is there rules around things like this? Do the line ups have to be the same, assuming everyone is fit?

I don't know the Italian rules, but in Spain the game starts again as if its just carried on, so same players, same number of subs used, same yellows dished out etc

(Though what happens if someone is injured now and can't play?!)

Yeh that's what I guessed would happen, so same should apply for manager!

Kylian Mbappe has 43 goals in 43 games this season with PSG. This is his record over a season with PSG.

I know its a cliched comment, but it is a bit of a shame he has wasted the first half of his career in Ligue 1, though I think he did it ultimately for the right reason (wanting to get a French club to be European champions) along with earning bucketloads of cash of course. His skill on the byline last night to set up a goal for Dembele was absolutely outrageous

He's clearly one of the best in the world, but his career will read a few years in a poor league at a team that could win it without him, and then a few more years in a good league in a team that could win it all without him.

Interested to see how they play both Vinicius and Mbappe next season as they both play in the same position. I know Mbappe has been moved a bit more central at times this season but he has spoken publicly in the past about not liking it and wanting to be out on the left

Don't know how I have missed it before as its very much my kind of story, but I only just learned about FC Viduz in the Swiss league.

They are from Liechtenstein. The Swiss allow them to play in their league (along with 6 other rubbish clubs) but they are not allowed to win the league, so if they ever finished first then the team in 2nd would be champions.

As they are registered each season as a guest club, rather than a member of the Swiss league, they are unable to qualify for Europe no matter how well they do. Although there is no league in Lichtenstein, there is a Lichtenstein FA which UEFA recognises and so they are allocated a place in the Europa Conference League, which is then awarded to Viduz every season as they are the best team from Lichtenstein!

Viduz were a top div side until 3 seasons ago when they got relegated.

Viduz are also not invited to play in the Swiss Cup.
