NathStPaul6ft Kerplunk Have there been two Premier League teams as bad as Sheff United and Burnley in the same season before?
Was thinking that. I remember some real dross in the mid 90's. Swindon Town being the worst.

Ascotexgunner I don't think I've ever seen a stadium empty that much at half time.

Yeah, I don't remember Derby being this awful.
Arsenal the first team in English football league history to win three consecutive away games by five goals or more.

Stranded Everyone knows that Swindon are the only team to let in 100 goals in a PL season but that was in a 42 game season, same when Ipswich let in 93 the following season.
In terms of the now standard 38 game season, the record is held by that Derby side, who let in 89 - which averaged 2.34 goals per game. Sheffield United are currently letting in 2.66 GPG. Given they still have to go to Anfield, Old Trafford & St James' Park, you would imagine they will set a new benchmark for awful defending this year.
And then probably get promoted next.

paultheroyal Championship is crazy this year. Just look at that table. A record number of points will be required to stay up this year.
Watford in 12 on 44 points are only 2 straight defeats away from being caught by team sat in 23rd. Crazy.

Winston Biscuit Amazing stuff from Shef Wed who looked dead and buried a while back. unfortunately they have Leeds and Ipswich next so that good run will probably come to an end.
Their young German manager may be offered some better jobs in the summer
