The worry for many is that the great Liverpool side of 3/4 years might not be far off. That side would appear to really be missing Mane and Liverpool's failure to replace him has left them where they are now, but unlike Liverpool's truly great managers (Shankly and Paisley) Klopp doesn't really have a clue about rebuilding the team cohesively, so might well be the best thing that can happen is if he goes and Amorim replaces him. Big ask of Amorim though to hit the ground running and bring new ideas into the side while not losing too much of the basis that is there.

Think if they can get £100m+ for Salah over the summer that'd be a start but they'd have to turn up a quality replacement from somewhere - and probably on a budget knowing what a bunch of skinflints FSG are.

Hoping next season sets up what might be a proper title race to the end, rather than the standard collapse allowing the cheats to win through. Oh and having officials who actually can correctly apply the laws of the game might help as well.

Reckon Arsenal will draw with Villa today then it really will be City's to lose.

One bad result for City and LFC are right back in this. A bit early to write them off

Very odd to drop Jorginho after his and Rice’s dominance since the turn of the year

Very strange selection. Again questions should be asked of Arteta. Strange subs and starting lineup. How does Martinelli not start also.
He was outthought today by a better manager and one that was never given the time or money, and whose team won an FA Cup.
In 4 hours a close race has just become one sided.

Royal Rother Just how crap are Man Utd going to get under ETH?

Players that have got to go

McTominay
Martial
Rashford
Donny
Amrabat
Maguire
Lindelof
AWB
Casemiro
Eriksen
Sancho
Williams/Mjebri/etc

Mason Greenward: I would keep him for his footballing ability but probably best if he plays abroad.

I'm going with innocent until proven guilty but obvs not happy with the situation

With the right players in midfield with him McTominay could be a world class player.

down to the 5th & 6th choice CB's, no fit LB for most of the season. He tried to sell three players in the summer, who as a result of injury, have had to be starters (Mctoninary, Maguire etc). Often been without a recognised striker for several periods. It's not all on ETH. The Glazers, Woodward, Arnold, Murtough etc wrecked the club

Still don't get the continuous blaming the Glazers and others when they have carried on spending millions and millions on players including £90 million or so on Anthony and £60 million on the old fella Casemeiro etc.

Bournemouth were significantly better than Man Utd yesterday and I don't think I have ever seen a Premier League side give up so much space as the less than mighty reds did last night.

One of their big money signings Onana has done well as the season has progressed much in the way De Gea did in his first season and with the season yet still with games to come the interesting stat yesterday was that they have already given up more shots to the opposition than at any time in their Premier League history.

That can't be the fault of the Glazers.

Liverpool bottle it. Not sure you're in a position to comment on United.

Whether or not Liverpool "bottle it" is irrelevant to a a discussion on whether the Glazers are to blame for the great demise of Man Utd.
Are you saying that fans of one club can't have an opinion about other clubs?.

I think Man City must have rubbed their hands with joy and laughed when collecting the money from Arsenal for those two-City knew what they were doing despite the so-called experts criticising their sales at the time.

Regarding Ascot Gunner's derisory comments on Nunez and Anthony has he forgotten the £70 million that Arsenal splashed out on Pepe.?
Clubs don't always get it right with transfers (ask Chelsea and Man Utd) but for all the failings of Nunez in front of goal he has still scored 11 Premier League goals and provided 8 assists.

If he had been a great finisher Liverpool would have still been in the FA Cup and would be leading the Premier League but there aren't that many great finishers around (Hojlund cost £70 million didn't he?-the jury is still out on him).
It will be interesting to see how Nunez progresses next season, something we won't see with Anthony who will be gone elsewhere at a knock-down price.

By the way, if Gapko had the same physical strength as Nunez he could be some player IMHO.

Silver Fox Also, Kai Havertz played for Arsenal yesterday

And once again was seriously lucky not to have been sent off

McGinn did him a right favour when Havertz pulled him back right in front of the referee, but by McGinn playing on Havertz got away with what would certainly have been a second yellow

It’s not the first time (or second, or third) time this season that Havertz has managed to stay on when he should have gone

God I detest Paul Merson
Basically crying in the Sky studio that Arsenal are now out of the title race.
Then says that Liverpool can still win it

When pointed out that Arsenal are actually above Liverpool starts mumbling something about Liverpool getting a massive lift from Arsenal losing so would negate the disappointment of losing to Palace

What pictures of the management team does he have to keep that job ?

Clearly I'm happy to partake of a bit of banter but he's clearly not here for ANY form of intelligent discussion, just 90% antagonistic baiting. Best ignore really.

I think they really don't want to sack him as his mental health will spiral downwards again if they do and they'll get blamed for the consequences of that.

In case you wondered, the massive advertising boards becoming more and more common in PL grounds (as well as others in Europe) are for them to show virtual advertising, i.e the advert you are seeing on your tellybox in England is different to the adverts they are seeing on tellyboxes in China etc
