Re: Rumour - Glenn Murray

He fell out with Dean Smith after the Fulham game. Only has six months left on his contract (feel free to correct me) so is going to be moved on.

Would much rather him than Murray as provides proper competition for Joao.

Re: Rumour - Vito Mannone

apparently rejected the contract offer from Minnesota, from my understanding hes on mega-money, one of, if not the highest-paid player at the club. I wonder if any transfers in are dependant on him leaving this window. https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/vito-mannone-minnesota...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (h) sponsored by cup fever

Pretty certain McIntyre is still injured. I struggle in centre midfield as I'd like Ovie, Adam, Gomes and Swift all to get a rest. Is East back playing for the 23s? If so I'd probably give him some game time. For me I think I would go with Walker Howe Morrison Miazga Obita McCleary Rino East Boye Ol...

Re: Liam Moore Interview Part 2

It’s great to have access like this to the players, no sound bites or PR answers just honesty. Goes under the radar that the club have no people in the room, although I guess questions are pre cleared.

Not many other clubs would allow this so fair play to Moore and Reading for allowing it.

Re: Bristol City (A)

It costs more to watch Reading at Bristol City than any away fan pays to watch their team in the premier league. Surely that’s not right.

Is there nothing STAR can push the club into here?

Re: Pre season tour

For me the team picks itself at the moment with others knocking on the door. In my opinion we are stronger than we were pre Gomes and I think we are one striker away from being stronger than end of last season. Keeper worries me. Neither assured at all. Virgina has no presence about him and surpris...

Re: Jose “3-4 Signings This Week”

the problem we have with Baker and Miazga is that they are both on roughly 25k a week at Chelsea which Chelsea want paying in full to go out on loan.

We will definitely need to shift the others left behind by Gomes before we can consider Baker and/or Miazga.

Re: Twenty’s Plenty

i seem to remember that you have to charge home and away fans the same amount for the same view. So I assume that if we were to raise prices in the South Stand we would have to raise it in other areas of the ground for home fans too.

Happy to be corrected if this is utter drivel

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

As said on another thread I believe the Oliveira deal is pretty much done, and we are back in for Baker for another year. Miazga is an issue as he earns more at Chelsea than we can pay him here, so we may pursue a loan deal for him again. In terms of top earners you would be looking at Aluko, Mannon...

Re: Financial Fair Play

I'm hearing the Oliveira deal is around £3.5 - 4m which is pretty much all our budget next year. This is all but done as long as we stay up and I also hear that Baker looks very likely to come back on loan next year. Martinez has been told he must go back to Arsenal for the start of the season. I gu...

Re: CONFIMRED - Nelson Oliveira

i think Baker has been really underrated on here. His performances over the last few weeks have been pretty much faultless and he does the simple things well allowing others to play. Him being here has also allowed Swift more freedom further forward. Oliveira brings a nasty side to our team, I think...

The 'It's not illegal, so that's why I did it' argument doesn't stick well with me. It isn't illegal because no one would consider to do it, as it is seen as totally unsportsmanlike. I would expect a law to come in after this incident. Is it unethical to go and watch a team play to get an advantage...

last good loan? probably Steve Blatherwick 2 best loan signings were: Matthew Upson Glen Little Upson is the name that always comes to mind when I think of our loan signings.
