Re: FA Cup 19/20

Barney Bristol City at home arranged for Tuesday Jan 28th.

Seems a bit foolish to me but think we can be fairly certain it'll be a similar side to the one that played Blackpool.

Do see Cardiff are playing on the 28th too, so at least both sides will be in the same boat.

Re: Rival Watch

On the Derby forum they seem overly confident that the EFL don't have a leg to stand on, that they signed off the stadium sale and would be open to legal measures if they try and punish Derby. They might be right in the end but if it were us I'd be bricking it right now. All fans of cheating teams ...

Re: FA Cup 19/20

Er I don't think Reading arrange it, its not the Dog and Duck v Red Lion in a Sunday morning pub league. Both clubs have to agree the date and then the FA confirm it, I believe. If Bristol City are open to a date in Feb, then I can see that happening, no issues. Thinking about it the 4/5th would be...

Re: Rival Watch

windermereROYAL Only us to go now.

All depends on why Derby have breached. Ground was sold for £80m, ours for £27m IIRC. No way is the ground or the land it sits on worth nearly 3x as much in Derby as land 25 mins from Heathrow.

We may still be in trouble but we appear to have played ball so would hope not.

UEFA pushing us further towards a 'European super league' saying that, I have said many time that I am bang up for a complete change to the League Cup. Pointless bit of trivia in question form here - prob the best place to put it:

What club records link Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Accrington Stanley and Stevenage?

Re: Rival Watch

Smacks of desperation to get some cash in tbh Yeh buts it not like its going to cost them much. £6400 isn't far off the price of season ticket for 12 or so years. Additionally they average 24k attendance in a stadium that can seat almost 40k so even if they do go up they've still plenty of space fo...

Re: Champions League/Europa League 2019/20

Another report on potential changes to the Champions League from 2024. In short, 4 more games to be added - either by making all groups 6 teams - so each side playing 10 groups games before the knock out stages or another group stage at the QF round. If this happens, likely CL qualified teams would ...

Old Man Andrews Club 1871 closed for the Cardiff game. That will go down well.

Yep away allocation entitled to the whole end in the cup.

Not the full end but 15% of total capacity so about 3100- essentially makes segregation impossible in that stand.

Always going to be the case though in the Cup if the away side take their full allocation. Would imagine all 1871 STs were made aware of that when buying them. Sure some will complain though.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a) sponsored by Eamon Dunphy

Smith is even bigger than Cooper if he starts, I guess Moore will have to pick him up Imperative the fullbacks cut the crosses out Potentially dropping Moore for Saturday then? Height isn't his strong suit. I know he is the captain before you say it so very unlikely he will get dropped. Perhaps but...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a) sponsored by Eamon Dunphy

Only decision the manager needs to make for me (if there are no new injury worries) is to either start Puscas or Baldock. I can see pros and cons for either - Puscas will offer a more physical presence against a tough Millwall defence - Baldock will works his socks off pressing them into mistakes. ...

Re: Form

Just looking back, the current run of 7 undefeated in the league and 9 in total is our best run since: 28th Jan to 17th March 2012 - where we were undefeated for 10 games (W9, D1) on the way to the title. Scary to remember we came from nowhere really. After game 15, a 1-0 defeat to Forest left us in...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

Sharp?? No chance. Would Armand Gnanduillet be an affordable option for us? Big lad, holds the ball up well and can score goals. Maybe not first choice but a decent bench option. Dunno. Coventry (or someone else...) are after him arent they? Thing is, do you want 6 senior strikers on our books? 7 i...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

If Joao is essentially out for the season then a new striker is a must - as mentioned Puscas has a weakened shoulder and turned down an op to play. One bad knock, or landing and he may be forced into that. Baldock rarely manages more than a handful of games before something pings or pops - which wou...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

Looks like Boye has hit the bar, Richards the post whilst Walker has made a decent save at the other end.

And we scored a 2nd as a typed this.
