Re: The generic transfer thread

Nick Woltemade on his way to Newcastle from Stuttgart for a reported €76M 23 year old 6ft 6" forward who has scored a total of 24 league goals (10 of them scored in the German 3rd tier) in his career so far Beat me to it. Seems a lot for a player I've genuinely never heard of. Only played for ...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Pretty pathetic that Amorim wouldn't watch the pens. Hardly screams strong leader. Could not agree more. More embarrassing than the defeat itself. Just seen this on the Beeb.... As a lifelong United fan, the most disappointing thing tonight was not the loss itself, but the way the manager hid in th...

RG30 UCL final to kick off now at 5pm UK for this season and beyond.

That is actually a pretty decent change for a change.

Re: Confimred - Matt Ritchie

Any hints as to whether a transfer was paid or not? Seems like a good option to have as a wing/wing back to me; scored 5 goals for Pompey last season as well. The club have stated he joins as a free agent having left Portsmouth by mutual consent. Anyway, this is a very good deal - will be interesti...

Does it matter if it is dull or not - it'll bring in money and that is the only driver.

Re: The Non - League thread

Sutekh I note that Bracknell v Dartford in the FAC1Q on Saturday has a 6.30pm kick off - is it on the telly/internet anywhere or did Bracknell just fancy a random kick off time?

Tadley are the selected BBC Iplayer game for this round so seems like Bracknell fancied a later game.

Pepe the Horseman Pretty pathetic that Amorim wouldn't watch the pens. Hardly screams strong leader.

Having watched his interview afterwards - he's done. He is basically signposting his impending resignation or sacking.

Re: Champions League, Europa League & Europa Vauxhall Conference League 25/26

Sutekh After Celtic being embarrassing, it only took 8 minutes for Rangers to kill off their already practically non existent chances of progressing and so they’re 5-0 down (and 8-1 on aggregate) at half time.

Can't see Martin lasting much longer, esp if they also get thumped at the weekend.

Re: 3 more signings

Also worth noting that Veerman was born in Volendam - so is playing for his home town club - which makes any move even more unlikely but doesn't mean we aren't trying it.

Re: 3 more signings

Nothing revolutionary here but thought I’d do an update . we have 3 more signings in before deadline. Probably nothing new to most as that’s what Noel has already intimated in his post match interview. But from what I’m told that’s how many more. Still not confimred but Ritchie and Ferguson are 2 o...

Re: Confimred - Jack Marriott

A nuisance of a striker and a textbook Noel Hunt striker signing - and one I would think we need. Defenders won't like playing against him, he will put himself about - similar mould of a striker to Sam Smith I would say. The young lad will learn heaps off him too. No surprise about the length of th...

Re: Confimred - Jack Marriott

Nothing wrong with the Marriott signing - knows the division, can score goals and can be a right pain in the arse up top.

If, as Brogue, intimates we are still looking for a bigger forward to compliment Marriott and MOM then we should end the window with decent options up top.

Brogue you heard it here first. Spurs will be title contenders this season.

Given the won there 4-0 last season, you could argue the weekend's result is a sign they have gone backwards

Re: Speculationish Tyler Robert’s and Jack Marriott

There are only 3 good instances that I can remember of defenders moving successfully to a centre-forward position:- Malcolm MacDonald Warhurst Chris Sutton. The position is so different, not least because of the extra running involved and the change usually only happens out of desperation for just ...

Re: Fixtures 2025/26

Well, certainly if its that lot we aren't playing. Just Dorsett, Fraser and Garcia might be slightly different Game will be off, it only takes 3 players called up to get a game postponed and Dorsett, Fraser and Garcia would do it. It's voluntary isn't it? It is but given we still look disjointed (t...

Re: Scottish premier league.

3 games in and Rangers already trail Celtic by 6pts. Is it too early to say the title's done and dusted? Russell Martin is not a popular man in Govan. No wins in the league and thumped at home in the CL qualifier. Rangers have spent £10m on transfers this season including £2.2m on a player from She...

And if he can spend time training with us, playing 2 unders games, it's a pretty positive sign, given our injury woes This appears to be the first time he has completed back to back games playing the full 90 mins since December 2019 and by all accounts played well in 2 different positions. Re: Speculationish Tyler Robert’s and Jack Marriott

At 30, Jack Marriott really wouldn’t be a great piece of business for £500k and whatever wages he’d be on. What’s happened to us signing younger League One standard players with potential to develop? At the very least a Sam Smith-style signing where he still have three or so years at their peak lef...
