Re: Hunt out.

I'm not sure I care enough if Hunt stays or goes but I will say, if they replace him now, especially with Ainsworth then the last 4 months has been a masterful display of wasting time by the new owners. It would almost need to be applauded. Surely that prize goes to the new US owners of Sheffield U...

Re: Changes In Football thread

Move it to August, before the season starts, and have the transfer window close at the end of it and then start the league season. Instead we’ll now get 2 Saturdays of postponed games, to have to rearrange, and three weeks of utter boredom when you’d rather be watching some footie of some interest....

Re: Changes In Football thread

Don't know if I like this or not. Certainly a big opportunity for the lower leagues to gain some exposure and get some bigger attendances in that break. I think I like it, would rather 1 longer break than 2 breaks so close to each other. Gives the international team more time together as well. Move...

Re: 3 more signings

We've made it through the International Break without any new players and without any new rumours... Does that mean we're not interested in anyone? Though I guess the free agent market keeps changing as Freddie Ladapo has just been released, as was Matty Carson yesterday Can't you only sign free ag...

Re: Changes In Football thread

EFL in talks over expanding the Championship Play Offs to 6 teams And apparently wanted to do it in L1/L2 as well but stalling on that as would likely need to go to 3 up/down with the National League. Don't the PL have to agree to this as their competition will be impacted? I can't see them accepti...

Re: Hunt out.

Modern football fans are just clueless. Lose three games in a row, something that occurs quite normally during a season for about half the teams who play, maybe more, and the sky is falling. You need an entirely new squad and to sack a manager. People seem to just expect to win every game. Used to ...

Sounds like he was pushed out according to the Beeb, by Joe Lewis's children who will be more active in the running of the club. Vivenne Lewis the key figure. Says sporting success hasn't been good enough, which to be fair, is not wrong For all of the good Levy has done for the infrastructure and i...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Perhaps they're waiting to see how the new players actually do and what results are like after the window closed, before they try to evaluate how it went. Or should they judge it based purely on how much twitter wets itself? We’re three short of the 25-man squad that in hindsight, seemed the target...

Re: Hunt out.

The squad is more than fine to push in to the top half and possibly outside chance of play-offs. The glaring weakness appears to be a gap in the striking position where another option would be great (and may still come). Is it weaker than last year - given we had a few players who proved they were ...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Interesting that we have had radio silence from Barnum & Bailey since the transfer window shut. No doubt recharging for the half season ticket sales in December. Roll up Roll up What do you want hear from them? It's an international window, the club released a video about the transfer window fe...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Also heard a journo say it was believed Raheem Sterling didn't want to go out on loan, would only transfer to another club in London and wouldn't accept any deduction on his £300,000 a week wages. So he is now at Chelsea but not in their squad for the season. All of which is his right - as mentione...

Re: Devante Cole

When they choose Port Vale over us you have to think he prefers life up north. This is such an arrogant, stuck up mindless thing to say Not a bad area around Stoke and Port Vale - however, not sure I would want to live there It's stunning around Stoke but wouldn't ever want to live there, Newcastle...

Re: Summer 2025 Transfer Ratings

The window has been above average - people are far too fixated on one word which they take out of context - wasn't the quote that the window had the potential to be spectacular not that it would be. A bigger presence upfront would have made everyone stand up and of course, there are still options o...

Re: Devante Cole

When they choose Port Vale over us you have to think he prefers life up north. If we were ever actually in from him is one thing, but he grew up between Stoke and Manchester, he is settled in the area and realistically only has 4 or 5 years left of playing. I believe he has a family, it would take ...

Kolo Muani reportedly on his way to Spurs Like this one. High wages but definitely better than Solanke and Richarlison I am really unsure on him. so much hype a few years ago but always looks a bit disappointing when I see him also this moment will haunt his career https://i.eurosport.com/2023/02/0...

Twitter so far - Lamin Colley Sean Patton No Bowler Random ITK of the day- https://x.com/insandouts25?t=iFJaeNdujRg5tGEIZzh1NA&s=09 It would be very Reading to know we need a taller, experienced striker and end up only signing a 5ft 10, 19 year old from Derry. Oh and the X poster called Myself ...
