Re: The Non - League thread

Winchester City away at Melksham will give us a big clue as to how we are going to do this season. They finished one point below us last season in 5th though we had a game in hand. A draw will be a decent result for Winch. They are a strong side, and appear to have some financial muscle, along with...

Re: The Non - League thread

Binfield 5-1 AFC Totton A total contract to last week's trip to E&C, a thoroughly pleasant and entertaining afternoon all round. Very well organised by the hosts who look to be progressing both on and off the field. Hosts scored after 10 secs, which I think is the 2nd quickest goal I have ever ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Winchester City 2-0 Cosham Town God, it was good to be back at a live match. Cosham are two steps lower in the pyramid than us, so a win was expected, but the Western League is a strong one, and this was no pushover. I managed to miss the first goal due to beer. New striker Graeme Purdy looks sharp ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Spectators will be allowed back in to non-league grounds below National League north/south level as of now. Good news. Assume there will be some limits on crowd numbers? Could easily see some record gates at games as people starved of live football decide to check out their local club. There are ru...

Re: The Non - League thread

The Football Supporters Association are running a survey on the return of non league. Worth a few clicks https://thefsa.org.uk/news/what-should-the-return-to-non-league-look-like/ If things are OK enough for "mass gatherings" of up to, say 500 people, this could help non-league clubs a lot...

Re: The Non - League thread

Winchester City v Barnstaple is off. I guess a lot more will be. ...indeed might be easier if I post up what's still (potentially) ON. :? :( At 10.00 Melksham posted on Twitter that there game v Basingstoke was on. At 11.00 they were back on Twitter - it's off. I'd be surprised if any games get pla...

... Cinderford Town 3-1 Winchester City - [i]City slump high up in the Forest of Dean to 3rd placed Larks – big winners Paulton sit 1 point behind them : chasing hard for PO spots and drawing ever nearer are Melksham & Ciren Town. It is going to be gutting if we don't make the play offs. Our re...

Latest from Basingstoke Town. https://btfc.co.uk/chairmans-report/ TBF, it doesn't say much! All well and good moving into Winklebury which has potential, but no good if you end up in the Wessex League. Agreed They were meant to be playing at Winklebury by now. The diggers have started work at the ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Non League football has lost one of its biggest characters and most committed fans. "Dulwich" Mishi died yesterday. There are tributes on Twitter and and the Dulwich Hamlet boards for anyone who wants to look. I didn't know the guy, but the affection and respect in which he was held is cle...
