Re: Mohamed Diaby

Wallsy Is he rated? Or are we just looking at the next Kalifa Cisse?

Courtney Friday says he’s checked in with his “sources” and there is substance to this one.

I'd love another Kalifa.

Re: Nations League & Friendlies

Yup. In rugby, you can hear what the ref is saying. In tennis, you get a certain number of appeals. Wouldn’t know how it operates in cricket but both of those methods work better than the one in football, where fans are kept in the dark for up to 5 minutes Why should fans be kept informed? They are...

Re: Nations League & Friendlies

Isn’t the point that fans should be better informed by officials generally ? As in rugby or American football. It would help enjoyment of the game (and maybe understanding of the rules, as mentioned above) and would help reduce the opportunity for frustration. Football seems to thrive on ways to fru...

Re: Nations League & Friendlies

Most of the problems come from two places. First, fans and, in particular, pundits who do not know what the rules are. Some of this might be that the rules, or the senses of priority within them, have changed. And, yeah, I think that's a valid complaint. Seemingly endless clarifications on, for exa...

Zip
Ascotexgunner VAR is gonna wreck football.

I don’t agree. It’s just got to be used correctly and with consistency.

Maybe but in it's current form it's a disaster. Cricket and rugby gradually made changes to their systems and just about have it right now. I'm not sure football will do likewise.

Re: Next Season's Squad.

I for one would be absolutely delighted to have Ovie back. He improved considerably during his time here and offers something different. Ejaria > Swift. Fight me x Yep agreed. Another +1 here, I was really impressed with him and would be happy to have him back. And another +1 I thought he looked a ...

Fifa president Gianni Infantino said last yearthe expansion from 32 teams could be brought forward from 2026 to the 2022 tournament in Qatar. The change would have required Qatar to share hosting duties with other countries...

I think 40k plus is about the norm
Certainly was last year when I went.
Although it's the total for both vase and trophy so there's probably not that number all at the same time. Either way it's impressive.

amazing how he managed to get in 4 clearances (same as Yids) seeing he was always in the wrong place.... Could it be that you only noticed what he did wrong? I'm not particularly a Gunter fan or a Gunter knocker but he was abject in the first half that day. Backed off and off his man and both goals...

Re: The Playoffs 2018/19 edition

And Sunderland get to go to Wembley again That means 5 of the 6 playoff games played so far have been won by the club that finished lower in the table Has there ever been that many before? Can’t see Doncaster making it 6 out of 6 though - but then many would have said that about Derby. Maybe this w...
