Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

The former manager previously AKA “Fatty Fist Pump” needs a new nickname. He was also very reasonable in his comments given his previous connections. The excess skin must be horrendous but fair play to him for losing so much weight, he’s half the man he used to be!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stevenage (h)

I agree with Hound on DK. He is “alright” but I am always hoping for more from him. He flatters to deceive. Im willing to face down the full back and take them on but he shapes to look as though he is going to the cuts in or goes backwards. Maybe it’s a confidence thing or just modern wing play styl...

Snowflake Royal Stevenage also have a dreadful fanbase. Well known round here for being thick thugs.

I saw 1976 on the back of their tracksuits… I’ve probably got pants in the drawer that have a longer history.

In x2 on a Cardiff weekender seeing friends! Doesnt look like many of the new allocation are left now, 30 or so? Maybe we’ll get another block soon as the game is still over 3 weeks away.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (a)

What did we think of Sam Smith last night?, long gone are the days of kissing the badge here, yes I know he has a new club now and we only sold him because we had too, but his lack of empathy for us was clear to see, fist pumping when he thought he had scored the second goal. I found it a little un...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

JedMaxwell I always think fining people with effectively limitless money is the best approach. Will certainly make them think twice about re-offending, especially if they send a strongly-worded letter.

I agree. Similarly fining clubs without a pot to piss in for paying wages late is strong management.

Michael Craig is dead to me now. Seriously though, he wasn’t a local lad so wont have a big emotional attachment to us and loyalty is for the fans only.

Re: Ups & Downs 24/25

Such a contrast in final day excitement between divisions. In League One, the only 'live' result to be finalised is the final play-off spot, which will be taken either by Leyton Orient or Reading. In the Championship however, eight of the 12 matches have something riding on it, however tenuous. Bur...

Re: Record Watch 2024/25

Article in The Guardian about Birmingham name checks us. Now Birmingham, who travel to Stevenage on Thursday, have records in their sights, namely Wolves’ 103-point haul in 2013-14 and the Football League record of 106 points set by Reading when they were promoted from the Championship in 2005-06. ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (a)

A crumb of comfort for me is Orient vs Wycombe kick off at 12.30 the same as us, Wrexham vs Charlton is 17.30, Wycombe know that if they win they`re in second and will be hoping for a favour from the team that stuffed them 4-0 today. I can see Orient v Wycombe being a draw as the latter go ultra de...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

Personally I’m really pleased for Wrexham as I’ve lived in North Wales for 25 years or so and their current success has a great knock-on feel good factor for the region from Wrexham all the way west across to Anglesey. They haven’t seen good times like this since the 1970s and North Walians love th...

How the f u ck did Oliver not give a free-kick and immediate red card to the Millwall 'keeper? VAR should not have been needed for that. One of the worst tackles I've ever seen. Because, imo, Oliver is currently one of the worst referees in the PGMOL and has been for a couple of years. Talk of Robe...

top 2 in the Champ play each other tonight also, 'Frank Lampard's Coventry' win again, making it 7 wins from the last 8 games. In the first 17 games of the season they only won 4. Lampard has managed the 17 games since then where they have only lost 4 they were in 17th place when he took over havin...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Shrewsbury Town (h)

We played poorly but have another point towards a healthy points total should we end up with a deduction at any point between now and the end of the season, we should hopefully still be able to absorb it and stay up. If you sell your best players and biggest goal threat it doesn’t take a genius to ...
