Re: Rumour - Rodrigo Riquelme

He does have strong hair. Do you think he got confused by Bournemouth’s badge and was actually looking for some Wella hair products?

Levels below the Championship to go semi-professional And regional divisions with salary caps. Could be a good opportunity for a financial reset.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (h) sponsored by Chris Rea

Yep with the majority - normally I’d say mix it around, give some minutes to the fringe players, try out some new ideas etc But not against Colin and no doubts he’ll be at his absolute worst Still reckon we’ll probably lose: the home form is a real worry Absolutely, and I am sure Colin wouldn’t wan...

Re: Worst Reading Player

I noticed a couple of mentions for JVDB......How the hell do people get to that conclusion. He was one of the main reasons we finished third. I liked him a lot......Always committed and worked hard. Gave us a bit of bite at the back and although I preferred him as a DMF he wasn't as bad at CB as pe...

Re: Old Reading Footage on VHS/film/Youtube

Several are mentioned here already but there were quite a few videos of full home games in 86-88 or thereabouts. Don't own any myself. Of away games, the only one I remember was Sheffield United away from October 1986. It was about 60 minutes. Was that the 3-0 down, and we drew 3-3 game at Bramall ...

Re: Predict the final 2019/20 Championship table

Personally I’d be happy with a lovely mid table no alarms and no surprises end to the season Mr Optimist? Mr Disgrace more like. Nice one! What was a disgrace was fans booing when Olise made an error letting the ball bounce and getting on a promising young kids back, and our loyal backbone of suppo...

Re: Predict the final 2019/20 Championship table

Personally I’d be happy with a lovely mid table no alarms and no surprises end to the season after the last few years. Maybe if we could just knacker up Brentford’s attempts at promotion too, I’d be perfectly okay with that.

Re: BFTG Wednesday (A)

Definitely played alright. Not our best display but we were easily good enough to win today in poor conditions to play football. Puscas looked a lot better with more players around him. Wednesday were also tosh so let's not get carried away. Still a great result though! My 4th visit to Hillsborough...

Re: Sheffield Wednesday (A) Saturday February 15th

They're overcharging then :? Just watch the game with your eyes squinted and imagine you are watching Chris Waddle with his dodgy barnet gliding gracefully across the Hillsboro pitch just like the home fans have been doing for the last 20+years because that, and the ticket prices, are the closest t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by Jason Bowen

I agree completely with Bowen’s no-risk approach. He truly believes we have a chance of the playoffs. Although I won’t be too happy if he starts Burley and Osho in the replay now we are without Miazga and McIntyre - he surely has to bring in either one of Moore or Morrison for experience? I hear wh...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

I'm sorry but if we are serious about our play off push we need to be beating tinpot teams like Forest. I mean Grabban is their most threatening player ffs. Great assist/shot from Ameobi for their goal. Their keeper really got revenge on us too. He failed narrowly to give us a goal in the first hal...

Re: Have we sold the Mad Stad to the owners/someone else?

Prior to the sale, Derby had the stadium listed as an asset worth £40m, and the "independent" valuation of £80m was done by a company which is a subsidiary of another company owned by Mel Morris. Nothing dodgy there. Well I guess if Mel is willing to pay £80m for it then that must be what...

I think John means permanently closed. I walked along the Lytham Road and half the shops and pubs were closed, including The Gavel, where I was hoping to have a pre match Spoons visit. Closed in August apparently and sold off by Spoons two years before that. There were a lot of Indian and Chinese ta...
