Re: Season Tickets

This is my 39 year being a st holder , like the poster above I recall choosing my seat and buying it at the porta cabin . As much as I want to reach the 40 year milestone I am unsure if I will . Strangely it's not about the poor performances but more the total Rfc experience . Amateur car parking co...

Time for a protest at the Watford game

This cannot be allowed to carry on. It's like buying a new house but the old owners want to stay living in the house and have a say in how the house should be run . John M , Nicky H and all the old board must leave and then it's a case of back NA or sack him . On saturday it's time to make our feeli...

Re: Back from the Game/pub/computer: Newcastle

If Rooney had scored that 2nd goal the media would have been wetting themselves. I have no idea how Alfie got it past 3 defenders into the net, ignore the air shot that was real class finishing and shows a player full of confidence. 5 wins and maybe 3 draws could do it, who needs a complete season t...

Re: Taxi for McDermott

Very interesting that Rednapp has told the players he will not tolerate players who give the ball away [ our entire team] or put their hands in the air[ McNuff after shinning the ball for the everton goal] or players that stand with hands on hips [ i am sure we have a few]. This is what BM must say ...

Re: Fans Forum on Thursday

Once again key points are missed. The lack of invite is nothing to do with spam controls, if this was the case no emails including ESTar would come through. This refers to a very select invite that was not send out to all members so sorry I still maintain that it was an " invited audience"

Re: Fans Forum on Thursday

Did any of you get an invite to the recent Radio 5 programme with an invited audience? Appartantly STAR sent out emails to their members and the first 100 responses were offered a place. Despsite getting many previous emails through from star over he last few years, it appears that I may have been &...

Re: Fans' Forum

Barry And how does that work for those that live outside the area and work away in the week. Maybe Star should only be for those that live in Reading and work 9-5. I take offence that becasue of my personal circumstances I should be seen as a lesser member. It is not to much to ask for a web summary...

Re: Fans' Forum

My God are Star in a timewap and yes I am a paid up member. Every person at the forum would have told at least 6-10 people at work [ and maybe more] what was said and also texted a summary to at least the same number. Those people would have told another 10 and on it goes , it's called the ripple ef...

I have it on good authority that his family have recently moved back to Iceland, so his girls can be educated there. He is joining them in the summe when his contract expires at Reading.

Programmes

Finally I clearing my attic and need to get rid off all my RFC programmes, but i have no idea how to. They go back to late 70's early 80's and could well be complete seasons in line with when I became a season ticket holder . It is fun browsing through them , but i need the sapce. I know there is no...

Any chance they can see him as an investment and loan him back for the season. I am so gutted that I only got to see him play for one season, a real legend.

Re: Gylf pledges his future to Reading

Sorry I cannot see Gylf going in the summer, the premiership clubs that would interest him [ he would have the final say] will watch him till at least Christmas to make sure that he can continue his form. The lower premiership teams may want him, but some of our players will now start looking at Hun...

Re: Squad for 2010/2011

Just a thought I recall that a part of the Kitson loan back from Stoke was that they still owed money on him, so a deal could be done if we got promoted. I expect that Stoke must have a least another year of instalments to pay us for Kits, so could the outstanding amount not be used in a deal to kee...

What I recall was strange in the Norwich game was Robert Fleck in his Reading shirt being awarded the Norwich player of the season award before the game, god knows how he ever won it after seeing his performances for us.

Did we not go about the last 5 home matches without scoring?

Re: Club must save £4 million

Lets try and stay a bit positive. Premiership teams may be more reluctant in buying unproven players from the Championship, with so many having failed to make the grade. Before any one says Siggy is unproven he has only had one season in the championship, how may of us knew his potential before this...

Re: Rosenior return? / Right back spot to fill

What surprised me was the fact that Cummins was captain with Pearce in the side. It seems like Pearce is near the end of his time at RFC , no longer even considerd vice capt. It was noticable that the web site used the heading that Cummins was capt and that seemed more news than the 7 goals. Could t...

Re: Has BMc proved Coppell wrong?

Well my therory which I have been going on about for ages , is the lack of respect for the cup cost us promotion. When it comes to the play offs it is 3 cup matches with the same mentality. Burnely came to us on the back of good cup runs in both cups and so were used to the " cup mentality &quo...
