Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (a) sponsored by things to come

I'd be pretty confident of a 4-2-3-1 but who knows how that'll actually look

Rafael
Yiadom Morrison Moore Richards
Laurent Rino
Olise Swift Ejaria
Joao

Although I think it'd be better to have Swift as part of the double pivot - and I guess we could have someone like Baldock play behind Joao

Re: Rumour - Sheyi Ojo

Headed for Cardiff? Liverpool may be pissed off with us Although Ejaria is training with us so maybe not Ejaria signed for us so I would hope so. Has he signed though ? Not even in the squad for Colchester, no picture of him holding up a scarf, no pictures of him train8ng with us since he allegedly...

Re: BFiFollow - Colchester

My concern with Olise is end product. He got an assist in the last match but that’s as many as he got all last season. Danny Loader got a lot of criticism for not taking his chances and they play in similar positions. Extent to which Olise is a more creative player and therefore depends on the forw...

Re: BFiFollow - Colchester

Yes definitely concerning that Pauno picked that side... hopefully he’s not another manager who likes to play players out of position but it’s not a great start. It’s going to take him a while to learn about his players and how to deploy them, which isn’t really ideal so close to the start of the l...

Re: Ex Players

Apologies if mentioned or i have missed it but i do think its poor from McCleary and Gunter that there has been no "social media" goodbyes. I actually like the pair and shame it has come to an end, but i thought it would be acknowledged in some way that they are not on our payroll. Unless...

Re: Season 20/21

Why Holsgrove? What has he done to date that would make his sale such a mistake? I've honestly not seen or heard anything about him that suggests he is the missing piece of the puzzle. He is a central midfielder is he not, so where would he fit in to the current midfield - would he oust Academy gra...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Colchester United (h) sponsored by Callum & Sam

Not many options for us at the moment with Meite suspended and McIntyre and Puscas out. I guess it would make sense to mirror the friendly XI as much as possible Rafael Yiadom Holmes Morrison Moore Richards Rinomhota Laurent Swift Olise Joao Southwood Araruna Dorsett Samuels/Aluko Ejaria Baldock Mc...

It was £10 for midweek games pre-coronavirus too, only difference is that now all games will be on there. And this will continue for as long as grounds are below 50% capacity.

Re: Rumour - Rob Dickie

Cooper, Stacey, Dickie, Fosu....we really dropped the ball. It was clear at the time they were not far off the required standard (they are not another Antonio who was sold at the right time). What is their collective value now? Was it Stam and Tevreden who shipped them out? Fine with hindsight but ...

Re: Rumour - Rodrigo Riquelme

From what I've seen of Paunovic teams they do seem to rely on direct dribblers into the final third - so this guy feels like he should slot in pretty naturally. Although not sure how well that gameplan will translate to the Championship.

Re: Bowen out rumour

And we don't need to talk about the home form or some of the performances. You can see how well we started under Bowen but seriously tailed off, for a number of reasons. That is barely a 50pt season and that will have factored into this review. The new guy's away form is something else, even by tha...

There's some photos up on the OS.

Looks like Olise, Swift, Rino and Laurent all started. As did Araruna!

IceIceGylfi Odd. The one that misses their pen, Brown, has been subbed. Maybe Wagner is pissed off at him?

He won the penalty but didn't take it

Re: Roy Beerens - Unsung?

Typical winger. Soft in defence, goes missing, but has the beatung of a full back, can whip in a good cross and scores a few important goals. Don't think he hugely fits our shape... better in a traditional 4-4-2 with two strikers to aim at when he hits the byline. Decent impact sub though. I like h...

Re: Shane Griffin to Cork City

2 year deal. Not sure how this works out with the transfer window and so-on - but this is the Irish pre-season, so it may work differently. [/quote] Pretty sure the transfer window is just the period of time where you can register players - so being outside of it doesn't actually matter for outgoin...

Re: Back from the game - Ipswich

Pretty dismal performance and were lucky to come out with something. Gunter had an opportunity to get a foot in just before the shot came which he didn't take and were taken apart too easily for the second goal. Fairly lucky with the Obita goal (thought the keeper should have done better) but glad t...
