Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (h)

On another note outside of football, there`s a new 50A bus service that serves Green park, 14.45 bus from Brook drive so I thought I would try it, got to the bus stop at 14.40. bus came at 14.55, the traffic was horrendous, it took nearly an hour to get to the A33. Longwater av had traffic has far a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (h)

Unbiased question but I`m wondering who will be player of the season this term? we should just be voting on 2nd and 3rd this time around.

Re: Changes In Football thread

The main positives with the proposal is the top two in the play-offs would benefit from home advantage in a one-off match and they'd play one less match in the play-offs (although Dirk Gently makes a very good point about momentum). Not sure I'd be too comfortable with a side finishing 8th managing...

Re: Changes In Football thread

However this new proposal is just so wrong, how can you have a team that finishes 8th maybe 10 points behind the 3rd playing for a place in the PL? it would likely be way more than 10 points. last season 8th place was 24 points behind 3rd place I am currently undecided on how I feel about these pla...

Re: Richardson out

MR. CYNICAL
Mid Sussex Royal I read somewhere on X that we are the top away scorers in the league; if true, that's impressive given our general poor away form in recent years.

We must be near the top of away goals conceded in that case!

Re: Changes In Football thread

I`ve always been a fan of the play-offs because it adds interest in the last month instead of numerous dead rubbers, if the 3rd team wants to get promoted try and finish in the top 2, simple. However this new proposal is just so wrong, how can you have a team that finishes 8th maybe 10 points behind...

Re: Richardson out

Personally I haven’t seen any improvement since Hunt left. The LR tactic is for Pereira and the defenders to aimlessly thump the ball up field for about 80% of the game in the hope that Marriott gets a rebound. For the other 20% we actually pass it around nicely and then we look like a threat. This...

Re: Richardson out

While the style of play can be an infuriating watch at times, one can't really argue with the uptick in results and ultimately, he inherited Hunt's squad and has had a window to try and shift it to a squad of his own making. Would really expect a promotion push next season should he not pull it off...

Re: Club to be sold again ?

Rob made it clear that they would sell on eventually and we would be in a healthier position when he moves on, and won`t make a dogs ear of it like Dai did.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wimbledon (a)

What on earth Wing was playing at today I don’t know. Gesticulating and shouting at the away fans after a tackle, then busy cupping his ear instead of doing his job and defending in the last minute of the first half. Sort it out. I didn’t hear what was being said, but if it was criticism, tough. Th...

Re: Play-off/relegation watch.

9 from the play-offs 8 from the drop zone, just end the sodding season now. struggling against teams below us and still to play the 4 of the top 6 at home. wouldn`t put it past us to drop down the table significantly in the coming months.
