Re: Season 20/21

Stranded Who has Thierry Nevers pissed off btw?

Clearly not seen as a senior team option given his absence.

Dorsett has been given a new contract but is missing here. Think it’s likely they’re both injured and none of the new people have had a chance to evaluate them.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Watford (h) sponsored by Chris Armstrong

I’m not sure the issue is that Baldock and Puscas can’t play up front on their own - it’s that they need to be partnered with someone who can hold up the ball. Playing them together doesn’t necessarily solve the issue if neither of them can hold it up. That said I’m much more positive about Puscas t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Watford (h) sponsored by Chris Armstrong

Yeah I’d go with Watson all day long.

Rafael, Watson, Morrison, Moore, Richards, Laurent, Rinomhota, Ejaria, Meite, Joao (if fit, otherwise Puscas), Olise

Subs: Southwood, Holmes, McIntyre, Tetek, Sackey, Baldock, Puscas/Melvin-Lambert/McGiff

Assuming we make no further signings, which, yikes.

Re: BFT Cardiff iFollow

Don't want to go too overboard as we've played 3 teams who are no great shakes at the moment but Paunovic is shaping up to have a blend of good man management skills and solid tactical nous. The players look so much better drilled and disciplined than in recent years. I wonder whether it's purely d...

Re: If you didn't support Reading, who would you have supported and why?

I’d probably view football the same way I view cricket, and wouldn’t support a team except England.

Crazy to think how much that would change my life.

Re: BFT Cardiff iFollow

The shoulder is much easier to dislocate than the kneecap. It usually needs to be completely rested for a few days and takes about a month to fully heal. Moore obviously hasn’t been prepared to go through with that which has led to it becoming a serial issue. Just popping it back in is a bad idea be...

Re: Marc McNulty arrested for match fixing

Surely if anything this means we're stuck with him for the foreseeable. Chances are he would have left on loan in the next couple of weeks anyway, so that's not gonna happen now. No idea how long this could drag on for and we're not going to sack him unless he gets found guilty. Agreed. It has the ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a) sponsored by Chris Casper

If we’re concerned about Cardiff being a big side, maybe there’s a case for bringing in Holmes? And similarly, I think I’d probably leave Olise on the bench. He doesn’t offer as much defensively as his competitors and his versatility in many ways makes him the ideal sub. Very harsh after his first ...

I think SCIAG has blocked most of us . Has he blocked you? Surely not. You’re up there with the least offensive posters on the board He mentioned a few posters who he hadn’t blocked. Literally two or three posters. Can’t recall who they were. Maybe you? Can’t remember. No I haven’t  I thought ...

he is tall He is 6ft1. Same height as Moore.. No he isn't  He was clearly the taller of the two when they played against Bolton, and he's grown since then... He was also obviously taller than McIntyre the other week. But even if it does turn out that their "official" heights are accu...

Re: Rumour- Lewis Gibson

Surely Everton are missing a trick by not sending Gibson to League One where he might actually have a chance at playing? If McIntyre really does want to be starting every week then I guess we have to loan him out (particularly if there are no offers for Moore) but I don't think it's the right thing ...

Re: Rumour- Lewis Gibson

Seems this one is actually happening supposed to sign early next week. A left footed centre back isn’t easy to find and I think it’s a big risk insisting with Holmes and McIntyre as backups and allows us to adopt a 3 centre back system when we need to. I don’t think we should be considering him as ...

Re: BF I follow Barnsley

Last man is neither irrelevant (as Ian initially said), nor is it the be-all and end-all (as pundits make it out to be).

I think Ian’s actual point was that this was one of those cases where a foul by the last man didn’t, in his view, deny an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

 Find me an academic source that isn’t aimed at a primary school audience that claims there are five vowels. Vowels and consonants aren’t arbitrary categories, they are linguistic terms to do with how open your airway is when you make a sound. Letters represent these sounds. Yes, there are wor...
