Re: Are we screwed?

Assuming that there are few if any signings I think we have to be realistic that if the squad as it is now can finish 21st or better next season that would be a success. Then at the end of next season another whole load of high earners will leave - which might provide a bit more wriggle room for ne...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City

How about Moore's run down the left and cross inches away from Barrow!!
Disappointed with both full backs with the goal, but they both played well apart from that. Shame that through ball to Nelson at the end didn't come when Meite was still on given his extra pace.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

Meite looked decent as a long front man. Their defenders couldn't deal with him.
McCleary's chance wasn't easy in the 94th minute. He's not a spring chicken any more and after a difficult game like that he must have been running on empty.

Snowflake Royal Very, very, very good read steal and pass from Ejaria there. Fantastic. Tidy finish from Aluko too.

Exactly. Pressing the ball up the pitch.
Teams do it to us all the time, hence 22nd in the league.

Re: BFTG - Weds H

Controversially, I don’t think there is much wrong with either the technical ability or the work rate of the players. I think they are just in the habit of losing, have become used to misplaced passes, and are always taking the easy option. This started under Stam, and a change of manager has not a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a) sponsored by Delia Smith's cookery course

Even if we sack him it’s far to late should have been done in November. We need to start preparing for division one and someone who knows that division and the players needed, as it will need a massive overhaul of players. Pardew is going to available shortly. We need someone who can establish a wh...

Re: Stam to be sacked?

If someone gave me the chance to get ride of Jaap Stam or George Evans from the club, I'd bite their hand off up to the shoulder if it meant Evans left. He has to go. Stam is shocking, but the problem is with the board. I'll bet they don't even know our last result. It's a tax dodge for them, they ...

Theroyalbox Ady Williams is a first class CNUT

No way, he was a great center back from the early 90's. A true leader, even at a young age.
That 94/95 team had such a good blend of youth and experience, perfect at that level.

Re: Stam to be sacked?

Best case scenario and we some how stay up, What then? Stan leaves by mutual consent and we get a new manager in realistically how much of an overhaul will there need to be in order to stop the same thing happening next season. I'm assuming there won't be loads of cash and I can't see many of the p...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h) sponsored by When Saturday Comes

Well look on the positive side - we won't now have 10 men behind the ball and try to defend a slender lead for 80 mins before conceding an equaliser. No, we'll spend 8- minutes with 10 men behind the ball and try to catch them on the break to score an equaliser! Trouble is we'll have conceded 3 mor...

Re: Who still thinks Reading will avoid relegation...

On paper we should scrape survival, but football isn't played on paper. We're too predictable. Stam's so stubborn with his possession tactics it makes us easy to play against when we've lost confidence. The same player who can move the ball on quickly, without hesitation when confident will hesitate...
