Re: Striker for 4-5-1/4-3-3

In pre-season so far it looks like Buck likes playing the thready-runny type thing , with Church or Long bombing up and trying to grab the ball. In this new, "world class" system, I think that works best. Although I can't see anything wrong with playing N Hunt up there with Henry and Kanu...

Re: Henry

All i'm going to say is, I'd love to see Henry, Cisse, Matejovski and a motivated Lita, in the same team...

Maybe even a Pearce who has composure.

Re: Did Marek Matejovsky...

Marek is an outrageous player. Superb. And I don't think it's the players around him either - although Kebe may be an exception. All they need to do is make diagonal, straight runs (The ball to Stephen Hunt was literally a simple, straight run, into space). Reading players seem to be expecting balls...

Re: To the East Stand: please stop 'supporting' my club

egonistic ???? http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=egoistic I spelt it wrong in the first instance. So literally, someone who thinks 'i'm right, everyone else is wrong, have my point of view, or none at all' in a very extreme circumstance. I'm not so sure Platypuss is that bad... he's p...

Billy Davies on the support; "I want to say a huge thank you to the wonderful away fans for their support and the way they got behind the players and the manager. The home fans should take a leaf out of their book. " http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10308~1573619,00.ht...

Re: Funny how Coppell..........

So, fans stand in a car parking space, begging for Coppell to stay, but later on in the season, when things haven't been going for us (as inevitably they wouldn't have all season), everyone pretty much asks for his head? I don't care what he says, so long as I see an improvement. I saw an improvemen...

Re: To the East Stand: please stop 'supporting' my club

Does that mean you want an answer to 'it's a stupid question, don't you think'? Because it seems a question that many people need to ask them selves, don't YOU think? What are your opinions on barely anyone standing and cheering about a positive motion from a team that hadn't performed great for mos...

Re: To the East Stand: please stop 'supporting' my club

Platypuss You asked why the crowd didn't bother. I supplied a possible reason. That's it.

No, that's not it. I supplied another question to ask themselves if they thought that way. That's it.

Just another egonistic moderator.

Re: To the East Stand: please stop 'supporting' my club

The extra noise in the stadium could have really lifted the players to realise 'hang on... we could get something here!' Instead the silence kept their heads down. Whats going on? Experience of the previous 5 games? Didn't stop me. Does the 'previous 5 games' mean that we shouldn't want Reading to ...

Re: To the East Stand: please stop 'supporting' my club

From the North as well. What the hell was the boo's ringing around the stadium at the end? F*** off, seriously. If you can't shout during the game, whats the point in booing after. It's like watching someone do a job wrong, for an hour, not saying anything, then telling them after it's wrong. WE WER...

Re: Matejovski... where does everyone get the idea that he isn't that good at defending? He's got so much tenacity and flair, goes in for 50 50s full on and half the time comes out with the ball. He's also always hassling for it when he hasn't got it. I don't know how much you need to do to become g...

Good pretty much all round really. Bikey was rock solid, making everything look easy Rosenior and Armstrong made a few very good last ditch tackles and they look to be doing well Hunt was below his normal standard Kebe was taking on players and getting in and around the box well - what we've come to...
