Re: What got you into supporting RFC?! And when you did who was your nearest team?

Family - kind of - but my parents were Southampton fans. We lived by Prospect Park though so I used to go with my brother; first game Spring 1971 and we were relegated to Div 4 for the first time at the end of that season. I never saw the appeal of following Liverpool/Leeds/Arsenal who won all the d...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

The problem with stats is they generally relate to past events ie HISTORY.

And there is no history to this virus either....

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

In the UK, 1700 died (est. 34k global deaths) n the last flu season we have records for. If more or less people end up dying from this is academic. These will be extra deaths that wouldn't have otherwise occurred. Deaths will always lag behind cases as well, as it takes quite a few days before peop...

Re: Do we dare to dream?

We’re 8 points off the play offs with nine games left. Do we dare to dream? Nope. End of. Never say never. WNG, WNG and it becomes a 16-1 shot. Win 3 on the trot and we’d be 4/5 points off with 6 to play but with HUGE momentum You need 70 to half any chance. That takes seven wins and a draw out of ...

Re: Rival Watch

So yeah Hull are going down Think Barnsley and Luton are going. Depends on how much Charlton will be affected after their home disappointment to Middlesbrough today. Hull are the one side in total free fall (9 defeats and 2 draws from their last 11 league games). The unknown element, of course, is ...

Re: Bowen Out.

Totally agree. The lacking element are strikers. Goalkeeper, defence, midfield all looking solid. If only the strikers were banging them in at a higher rate than now, things would be very different. However, If Bowen brought in Puscas, then both should go. Was it last season when Ipswich wer...

Re: Bowen Out.

So - with 10 games left we are just 2 points behind last season's total and already past the previous season. And worth remembering Bowen took over after 11 games (I think) with 8 points on the board. Yes, there have been 2 or 3 awful performances (all at home sadly) but what anyone reckons progress...

Can't seeing them getting 106 as now as the unbeaten record has gone they will coast to the title dropping a few more points.

Will help if they stay in Europe too.

Still got a bit to go to beat our lowest ever league attendance. 1900 or so in a torrential downpour and a rarity in front of the TV cameras against Preston in 1982, I think? Re: BFT well I don’t know what to call it without resorting to a lot of naughty words

Really? How long did Bowen spend seriously looking before the owners and he decided that he was the man for the job? Didn't Holloway claim he'd thrown his hat in the ring? Ian Holloway - who has ended up at Grimsby as no-one higher would appoint him? That Ian Holloway? Ian Holloway who is doing a g...

I've done the championship predictor as Low has put it on Getreading - I was as pessimistic and had us on 52 points but we would still survive easily on that given the games the others down there have
