Re: Hunts gone

As well as league position, I wonder how much the players were to do this? As yet only Wing (club captain) and Savage of the senior players have wished Hunt the best on social media. There have been rumours of a bust up involving Lane on Twitter for a few days, and he definitely mouthed off in the d...

Dellor's take on things - has a real problem with the new owners and the last paragraph is childish.

Re: Hunts gone

Well 1871 will be happy. Shameful by them yesterday. Did a remarkable job last season. If we hadn’t had to firesale our best players last season at bargain prices. We would have made the playoffs. Most were out of contract and refused new terms. The general consensus of opinion on here at the time w...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

Wellens please - he just missed out on the Luton job so is clearly up for a new challenge and has probably taken Orient as far as he can.

Sutekh - change name though :)

Re: Hunts gone

Royalcop Feel very saddened by this; so wanted it to work for Noel but think it’s probably the right decision, or rather that the owners had to take action at this point.

Open training session tomorrow could be a bit awks.

Selles in?

He's got a job in Spain somewhere.

Re: Hunts gone

Very good statement rather than the usual 6 liner clubs issue. Nothing about the 2 coaches though...they're just as responsible for what goes on on the pitch.

Re: Is it time RFC ended Club1871

Playing around with the singing areas etc will have no impact as long as the football on offer, and often the results are dire as they are now. I also think that this year's strategy of more experienced pros at the expense of academy players, has some impact as fans are more willing to back home gro...

Re: Hunt out.

Has now lost the fans and the dressing room.

Fraser is not injured but had a bust up with Hunt; as has Lane (but is still being selected). (source Huang Kad)

Re: Rival Watch

That's got to be good news for them doesn’t it? Takes it all out of Chanserai's hands. Short term a lot of pain, but the prospect of a brighter future under someone else. No...administration is not a good place. The priorities of the administrators are the creditors and this will be a very long roa...

Royals and Racers Rhone
Bowdery
Beacroft
Spencer
Duah
Borgnis
Coke-Miles-Smith
Hicks
Patton
Sackey
Okine-Peters
SUBS
Welland
Williams

Would expect to see Tuma involved or maybe he's first team tomorrow given Ritchie likely out and Kelvin up front again.

Good to see Osho fit.

I know this may well be the wrong thread to be posting on, however just wanted to express sympathies to all Sheff Wed. supporters, given their current plight. After watching the highlights from last night, and seeing all the empty seats, it was a stark reminder of how close our club was to going do...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Update from Noel:

Marriott & Richie expected to miss Saturday but neither expected to be out long so I'm guessing back after the cup game.

Perreira - progressing well towards 4 week initial target.

Camara & Garcia - recovery work still...sounds like a few weeks.

Re: The next 12 games

I think the next 6 are key and will determine Hunt's future.

Having listened to his interview on Berks, Couhig's support seems less solid than it was and if we bumble along at a point a game or thereabouts during this run of more winnable games, I'd expect a change soon.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

The Cobblers have a few injury problems with Jack Vale, Jon Guthrie, Liam Shaw, Max Dache, Tom Eaves and Elliott List all expected to miss out though Lee Burge and Kyle Edwards could return. They’re apparently likely to line up with a 5-4-1 formation so getting space in the key areas will be a prob...
