Re: Play-off/relegation watch.

tidus_mi2 Next 3 I think are going to be a big indicator of where we are, 3 teams struggling near the bottom, bang out of form, should be getting at least 7pts I would think.

Wigan will have Arsenal cup tie 4 days after too so that one looks winnable.

Re: Promotion/relegation watch.

I'm pretty much glass half empty with these things, but it would take a Terry the Taxi type run for us to really be in the mire and I don't see that happening. I agree with the comments on the Exeter feed that we may have tried to change too much too soon but the players that have come in look good ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h)

On another day we win that comfortably. Their first goal came from absolutely nowhere, and their second goal was a lucky deflection after the ref missed an obvious foul. Marriott's finishing is ridiculous. His shots to goals ratio must be one of the best in the division. New signings look very good...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (h)

I wonder if Daz will be there...the guy who thinks he's a celebrity/influencer because his son plays for an average third tier team. Who cares? The obsession Reading fans have with this guy is just weird. +1 who gives a toss? He’s just a dad who is a bit too involved in his son’s career and living ...

Re: One more in.

Crazy! Next you'll tell me we got given a goal once when we didn't score. Has happened twice actually, against Rochdale at Elm Park in about 1975 and then again against Watford at Vicarage Road in 2008 Or that we had a player sent off who was nowhere near the scene of the foul. Happened to Gareth D...

Only 2 from the Academy in the squad today. Dorsett and Steven’s. When was the last time we had so few in a match day squad? When was the last time we only had 1 in the starting lineup Was Stevens really in the Academy, wasn’t he just an associated schoolboy for a year before signing with *xf*rd’s ...

Brogue Wonder if any prem clubs will start sniffing around him. He’s had a fabulous season so far. Surely we have a sell on too.

Was thinking that watching him today - he's got the Charlton full backs on toast.

Re: What records do Reading FC hold

I think Dick Habbin may hold the record for most league games played in a season....we sold him I believe in 1974/75 season to I think Rotherham who were well behind in their fixtures so he ended up playing over 50 league games that season.

Not sure if a separate thread was made on the Howe £100k winding up order but Rob C is has said its "stupid" and Howe hadn't showed up for work so his employment contract was terminated. Reckon Howe picked on the wrong guy.....

Looks a good signing if fit.

Makes that new Chronicle guy look completely ridiculous given his Twitter rant last night....he's already lost all creditability like Low did soon after starting.

Brogue
morganb Ramy the journo saying "none of that's true, lies all lies" on Twitter... fighting talk?

he's going to make himself look a fool. No-one questions huang kad and gets away with it.

He's no better than Earnshaw was, probably worse in fact. About as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leyton Orient (a)

Never seen us win there, maybe a draw once.

Saw an utterly inept 1-4 hammering in the late 1980's there which resulted in the sack for Ian Branfoot.

Caylan Vickers has had his loan to Barnsley cut short and returned to Brighton. Their fans are on the whole disappointed and feel after the first few weeks he was played out of position.

A source on Twitter who has a reasonable track record, saying Elliott is off this month, MoM back to Brighton and Garcia & Stickland loaned out.

If Garcia is available we should really sell given he's out of contract at the end of the season.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (h)

Tough game. Our players will be shattered. I'll consider a draw a decent result. :| Agree it'll be tough, but will Stockport not be tired from the festive schedule too? This is our second consecutive home game and we beat Burton in 2nd gear. If we lose it'll be because Stockport are better; tiredne...

The long winded post above, probably designed to scare, looks like in the main a cut and paste job from a bank official's user guide on taking security.

There are also 3 charges outstanding from Rehne to Redwood according to Companies House for what reason we can only guess.....its all speculation

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

30 points from 18 games since our awful start to the season, which is playoff form. Encouraging stuff. That said - whilst I know Brogue is doing a 'thing' - we've beaten no-one higher than 7th place Stevenage this season, so playoffs looks a real push for us. Chance to better that record against St...
