Re: Rival Watch

I've just seen it, it wasn't a tackle, he slipped?

Very odd

Re: Most important player ever?

Snowball Question is:.

And to just suggest a dampener on things... Blackman in that ridiculous
purple patch he had, was awesome. Did he ever do similar before or since?

Finely enough, I put this in my post then deleted it. Figured it might de-rail the topic!

Most important player ever?

Ridiculous title perhaps, but... Is Joao the single most important player we’ve ever had? Without him we’re organised and ok as a team. Put him in the lineup and everything seems to work better - and goals! This is not to say he’s the best player we’ve had of course, but take Shorey out of the team ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Fair play to them but surely Petes cherry picked those responses? No way there weren't a load of "we should be beating teams like Reading, thought we were the better team, ref cheated us, Readings a shit hole, its because they're used to no fans etc" posts? The thread I found these on wer...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Bristol City (Home) https://www.otib.co.uk/ Reading are a very good team with some above average players for this division - would love to have Joao, Meite, Ejaria, better than anything we have. We didn't play that well, but they were simply better and some of our players just couldn't cope with the...

Just played and beat Real Madrid (who his brother Nacho plan for) as captain of Cadiz in La Liga.

One of those Reading legends with very few appearances.

Why do so many people trot out these cliched 'rules'? Never change a winning team being one of them.

You're surprised he's intelligent?! Hs uncle is a Professor of Chemical Engineering at Howard University and his father is a politician in Nigeria and an incredibly successful business leader. His sister Eniola has law degree after getting a first at Brunel. Disappointing as a footballer, but unlike...

Re: Rumour - Rodrigo Riquelme

Surely the issue is the same soft embargo? There were rumours that ‘talks ended badly’ with Semedo which probably means everything was agreed until we said ‘hold on while we get approval’ Mendes was probably holding on too long also! Why else would we have Riquelme training this long and not signing?!

Right. Call Bowen, I've done his work for him. 3-5-2 Wolves style GK - Cabral, Southwood DC - Morrison, Moore, McIntyre, Osho, Holmes WBR - Yiadom, Valery WBL - A Robinson , Richards DMC - Williams , Araruna MC - Rino, Laurent, Olise, Holsgrove, SC - Joao, L Taylor , Baldock, McNulty, Cash in on Sw...

Forbury Lion This casino money laundering thing..... if Reading FC were to gamble a few thousand quid at a casino and to get lucky and come out with a few million, would that be okay under FFP rules? - club invests money, club receives a return?

End of season sale - value the squad

On news that the club has rejected a bid of £4 for Swift... If a bid came in, what would you value the following players at? (obvs if one leaves, it slightly adjusts the value of others) Michael Morrison - 1m - decent contract, older, but a solid performer Liam Moore - £2m - Huge cut on what we prev...

Whelm guage?

Mildly under.

Low wages (hopefully), 2 year deal, no fee. Sensible signing.

I doubt he'll be a first choice central midfielder come December, but if he is, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Re: Confimred loan - Ovie Ejaria

So... if we are about to renage on/renegotiate the £3m transfer and/or wages, I guess now is a good time for us hobnob 'experts' to understand the best plan for the club. If we had buckets of cash, we'd just sign the player, but we don't. SO, if we DID sign Ejaria, it would make sense to play him i...
