Re: Season 20/21

He didn't look remotely out of place when I saw him. I’d agree, in his brief first team outings and with the U23 he looked perfectly competent. Saying some one is ‘League 1 standard’ is a meaningless sound bite. I reckon Paul is alluding to some kind of off the pitch issue, and I have no idea if th...

Re: Football - The Covid Years

In a not nice sadistic way it might be a good thing ie original post in that there might be a "football reset" and majority will move onto a level playing ground. Or this could lead to discussions around another Premier League 2 - and the likes of Sunderland, Charlton reprieved and regiona...

Re: The Non - League thread

Must be shit for Macclesfield fans. I hope they get a phoenix club together and rise up the leagues, soon. Slightly brighter news Winchester City won 5-1 Mangotsfield Utd. Cracking game as you would imagine. Two up after 10 mins, and all over them. Should have been 4 up by half time but went in 2-0...

Re: Season 20/21

Decision to let Howe go is looking pretty questionable again. Between end of last season and our two RB injuries he could easily have amassed a decent number of appearances by Xmas. Howe is League One standard - would offer up more about him and players view, but wont be getting into that debate. H...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Not current I know, but....... congratulations to local lad Jamie Gittens who left the academy in 2018 (u14s but playing up with u16s) to join Man City. Stand out player in his age group at the time (together with Diamond Edwards). Has now joined Borussia Dortmund following in the footsteps of Jado...

Re: Ex Players

Matt Miazga is off on loan to Anderlecht. That’s his 4th loan move since signing for chelsea. The bloke is 25! He must be on a whacking weekly wage hence no permanent move for him nor would he want to go based on the financial terms he is on.

This is more opposition fans before the game - Watford.## wfc4ever said: ↑ Reading changed their manager in the summer - sacking a British guy and bringing in an unknown from Europe. Was there mass outrage? Early days of course but to win at Derby and Cardiff for an average side is pretty good - mus...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a) sponsored by Chris Casper

If we’re concerned about Cardiff being a big side, maybe there’s a case for bringing in Holmes? And similarly, I think I’d probably leave Olise on the bench. He doesn’t offer as much defensively as his competitors and his versatility in many ways makes him the ideal sub. Very harsh after his first ...

Re: BF I follow Barnsley

One thing I’m impressed by is how much better we are on set pieces. We seem a lot more intelligent with our movement with Moore in particular and it’s paid the dividends. Last year they barely beat the first man. Problem is if we play a team good at set pieces we might struggle to score goals... As...

Re: The Non - League thread

Basingstoke slump out of the FA Cup 1-3 on pens to 10 man Christchurch after a 2-2 draw. That eclipses even Reading’s usually shambolic performances with penalties. Terrible blow for Basingstoke. All with what is going on with the club at the moment, a cup run and publicity would of been very most ...

He got abuse in his inbox for it apparently, been crying about it for the past half hour. I saw that cry for help from him last night - what an absolute squealer. He acts like the stereotypical hack of the 80s. Unpleasant man. In terms of how it should be done, step forward Charles Watts. Proper jo...
