Re: VAR

Agree with the principle but they're still getting things like offsides wrong anyway Are they though? Dont think i have got one wrong yet have they? Even the one above, the line is drawn and he is off. Arm pit or not, he is off. Unless you factor in on the technology a 10% margin onside error, you ...

Re: VAR

On point of above - players have been told - "you must play on" = assistant is only assisting and its the whistle you adhere to. I will keep saying it - VAR should just be matter of fact. Was it in or out of play, was it offside, was it inside the box - the rest is referee interpretation ...

Re: Form

I clearly need coffee, I thought you were saying you needed higher points to finish in 21st than in 2nd..... lol - probably not worded the best, but I hope you know where I am going with this. Does this mean the quality is good, because the teams are evenly matched or is the quality bad because the...

Re: Form

but I will stick to my theory that you will need the lowest points tally required to get into 2nd at end of season, lowest points tally to finish 6th and you will need the highest to finish in 21st place. Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Made a comment to my Dad Tuesday night that the good thing with Club 1871 is that it's stopping giving 4k allocation to away fans. We would have been drowned out Tuesday, the atmosphere at home games has increased massively and we should want to keep it that way. Absolutely. Only ones who moant abo...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

If the point of Club 1871 is still to support the players, improve the atmosphere etc etc with positive chants/singing/clapping and not to antagonise the away fans/have a sing song with the away fans then why do they need to be sat in the away end next season? Why not make the Club 1871 area a sect...

Re: January Transfer Window

Lets not turn Puscas into another Glenn Murray or Vydra for gods sake. Both players never really cut it at Reading yet get goals everywhere else. We are in danger of making same mistake again. Puscas has exceptional quality, took his goal against QPR extremely well. Needs to be backed and loved and...

Re: SpuROFLs

Mourino is a top manager, no denying that. Very brave of Spurs to go down this road rather than the up and coming manager approach. I think he will be a top appointment for them. He will learn lessons from the past. He is appointing quite a fresh backroom team and i expect to see a very different Sp...

Re: If Reading didn’t exist

Genuinely no interest in any other Championship team or a "soft spot" for anyone. If this thread was more around teams you despise.... then attention would turn to Derby County and Leeds United. If Reading FC were to disapear i would turn my attention to the non league scene and would foll...

Re: January Transfer Window

Old Man Andrews Seen nothing from Loader to suggest he would be a big loss to us.

Agree - i just dont get the "Antonio's" with regards to Loader if he was to be released. Strange one as decent for England, U23s but has looked 6/10 in most games at best.

I will put this here because it happened at the weekend... I met Tony Pulis on Saturday - sat down with him for a couple of hours. He is a lovely bloke. Few interesting stories and where he is at now etc. The best thing - he was dressed like he shops at Sports Direct - including baseball cap. What ...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Following their defeat to Maldon & Tiptree, Leyton Orient fire Carl Fletcher after just 29 days in charge. Can't be an easy job to manage after what happened in the summer Similar to Cardiff and Warnock, I think the Sala incident had such an impact on Warnock and he's never truly recovered sinc...
