Re: Back from the actual game

I don't know who the jokers were on the TV commentary were but it was incredibly biased. It was Forest this, Forest that and vary rarely did they grudgingly mention us at all. Even when we were 2 up and strolling they were still rabbiting on about what Forest needed to do to get back in the game. I...

Re: Ejaria`s body language.

You only need to look at Meite's goal and ensuing celebration to see that all is good in the camp.

Re: FA cup 3rd round draw

WoodleyRoyal Yep would also prefer a team from the prem, champ or the leagues below. Would also prefer a home or an away game too.

Dont think you could of narrowed that down if you tried!!

Re: Rival Watch

Forest did look absolutely dire - more of the same please come Saturday.

Funny how a number of teams who had play off aspirations pre lockdown and fell away have continued that trend in this new season aka Derby, Forest, Preston.

Re: BFS - Bristol City (H)

I have often wondered whether Refs looking at the their game afterwards go OMG,what have I done ?Ditto the linos .I suspect they are so thick skinned that it really doesn’t bother them.Ref s have to be a race apart,or nobody would do it and like it or not we have no game without them. I can sort of...

Re: How good is Yakou Meite?

In answer to the thread title, he's certainly no Antonio, but unlike Antonio current establishment see him better than what we have so run in team is benefiting him.

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Sunderland's treatment of managers makes me wish them league one football for a lot longer.

Parkinson's sacking will no doubt be Reading's loss - with Jon O Shea in the running.

Re: January window

It's close. Will Joao have suitors? How much should we hold out for if so? How screwed would we be without him? Read at weekend that Fulham were preparing a £25m bid for him in January, and i notice Sheffield Wednesday media and message boards are running that story on the back of a 20% release cla...

Re: BTFF Millwall

Once again, Ovie was unimpressive last night. For his 5% of brilliance and moments of creative inspiration we're really toiling through the 95% of slow, overcomplicated gifting of the ball to the opposition, shanking/pulling selfish shots high/wide and generally killing momentum. He's not a LW, Sem...

Re: BTFF Millwall

I will post in here... Absolute dire game and dire performance. Keeper not to blame for free kick it was just a great goal end of. It was never a free kick in first place. Semedo, just don’t get him. Defensive midfielder playing forward and not doing either roles. Players just glide past him. We nee...

Re: BFTT Bournemouth

Yep, Stacey really is excellent. Wonder which idiots let him go. Same ones who let Antonio go no doubt, oh and Jake Cooper. I can understand Cooper and Antonio to an extent, they were both well down the pecking order and needed first team football. We had way better wide options than Antonio at the...

Looking at the pic of Ryan's Giggs missus a week on, sporting a bruised and fat lip, i would go as far to say his football managerial career both internationally and domestically are all but over.

Re: 3 G pitches

Yeah i think 4G pitches are a myth - they actually don't exist yet. The very new ones and recently installed are excellent, they play well. Maintenance is key though and if left poorly maintained they do deteriorate and quickly. Life span is approximately 10 years. My lad is a goalkeeper, and the pe...

Re: How many Managers have you been through ?

I spent many an afternoon with Ian Branfoot and family as they lived in Tadley and i was in his daughters class at school. I got to spend a day release at the club in 86 i think it was to see how the club operated for a school project. Ian picked me up outside the Hurst School. That day, the team we...

Re: How many Managers have you been through ?

It’s funny how 2 out of our 4 best managers since I’ve been supporting Reading, are absolutely hated by the fanbase...McGhee & Pards. Traitors but if you isolate their time at the club, they did a lot. Pards started the upwards trajectory when we were heading for the 4th tier. Curo & Butts ...
