Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Love him or hate him, trust him or not but Huang Kad has just posted a picture of a corner flag. One of those situations where you don't trust the account but know it has been right on more than one occasion (wrong on others) and hope this is one more occasion where it is right. Typical that he'll ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Wycombe dont have the money, the owner does not have this money but this Georgian billionaire business acquaintance of the owner does. Surely we are a better proposition than Wycombe - maybe he is buying us. Perhaps the training ground is a quick fix buy to get money moving to settle the club, clear...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I see the Wycombe owner has liked a tweet in response to a planned protest at Wycombe by Reading fan's saying "How about you find out the facts first before arranging a protest outside another teams ground".

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

blythspartan Apparently some fella with 2 bodyguards has just rocked up at the club. Maybe it’s a new owner or there’s a bigger plan afoot here. I guess time will tell.

someone has done excellent digging. appears they are from Begbies Traynor Group. Real Estate experts and advisors to Football Clubs.

Re: Weekend Football

Anyone know why Super Sunday ko times have gone wonky? Manchester derby kicked off at 3:30, Liverpool v Citeh is 3:45 Police advice - linked to fans safety. Arrival of the teams coaches to attempt to not have it pelted by missiles etc etc. Not sure what the time change makes to that - but that's th...

Wycombe sold 1600 so far - expecting that to reach 2000.

Re: Weekend Football

Amazing stuff from Shef Wed who looked dead and buried a while back. unfortunately they have Leeds and Ipswich next so that good run will probably come to an end. Their young German manager may be offered some better jobs in the summer Agree, they have done amazing. Equally QPR have put up a brilli...

Re: Weekend Football

Championship is crazy this year. Just look at that table. A record number of points will be required to stay up this year.

Watford in 12 on 44 points are only 2 straight defeats away from being caught by team sat in 23rd. Crazy.

25% of the way to the 2 grand target. Thanks for the update, I wasn't keeping track! Not bad for the first day ;-) I'll get onnto BBC Berkshire, see if they will mention it on the old wireless. If nothing else, during the commentary of the next game! Great idea, great post, excellent update. Well d...

Re: Refereeing

Paul, fourth official in the PL is right at the top of the tree, would we know who you were, recognise you as a league referee? I can see why there is a struggle for Sunday league referees - increasingly a cesspit for violent behaviour and abuse. No, not now. Retired. When i was doing this in the l...

Re: Refereeing

I ran the line at a Reading FC match in a pre-season friendly and i also officiated many "reserve and Unders" matches, but i lived to close to ever be regularly appointed. I was never asked to disclose back then what team you support. However, if anything when i did Reading, you just swit...

Re: The Non - League thread

Do jersey and Guernsey and the IoW teams have to pay for the other teams to fly over and stay in hotels? They must be rich clubs Think they have to pay for a set 22 return flight tickets per game - to cover a squad, coaches and support staff. Definitely need to be a wealthy owner to run those teams...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Thought Reading looked v good going forward, esp in first half, their front three were all dangerous. Somehow we nullified them second half, for which credit must go to the management team. I would have been frustrated if I was a Reading fan and would have thought they deserved at least a point. Ho...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

No, just wondering if there was any news on the takeover of Reading FC My source told me today that things are positive. There are multiple offers that meet Dai's valuation and are (on the face of it) viable. They're still going through validation, but the preferred buyer is one who should clear EF...

It was pretty random though, with very apt lyrics. Taking it a step further, first indication that Gerry Cardinale is going to be our saviour!

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Crossed my mind last night and seen it being commented today but with PA belting out "three little birds" last night at half time - is that a sign?

Also, impressed how randomly everyone else joined in to sing.

Re: The Non - League thread

If i had the money - Newport IOW would be on my list to buy. Sleeping giant with the population size of the island and just such low ranked football on there. They were close in the 90's and fallen away, lost ground and now playing at East Cowes Vics. Anyway, new ground step closer and return to the...
