Re: If you didn't support Reading, who would you have supported and why?

West Brom, Brentford or Millwall. That’s assuming the stadiums would be open and you could go to matches. Why those 3? West Brom are a proper club, fans alright, not impossible regular journey from Berks. Brentford seems a decent nearby club, reasonable fans, good story, good football, near...

What if the stadiums weren’t open?

Man City I suppose as the least dislikeable big club always on TV.

Re: BFT Cardiff iFollow

So much better than last week. Cardiff scarcely threatened us until the game was gone. Dunno what Neil Harris is on. This result in particular gives us credibility to take into the Watford match. Tragic if Joao misses it. If he does I’d take a 0-0 now because I reckon it’s our biggest test yet and f...

Best performance of the season so far. Well ahead on good chances.

But could go either way.

Re: BF I follow Barnsley

Richards MOM For me. Looks tougher, more mature, more confident, bigger?? than last season. Meite is never going to be a really great player but his zest and eye for goal is very welcome. Read somewhere that in this league if you’re in the top two after seven games you’ve got a 50% chance of going u...

Re: BF I follow Barnsley

Win yes but awful performance overall. Swift looked like he didnt want to be here never once chased a lost ball. Very sloppy midfield and no pace until Meite came on. We won 2-0. Everything else you have said is irrelevant. It would irrelevant if this was the 46th game of the season. I'm not saying...

BF I follow Barnsley

Sorry, top of the table maybe but bucket of cold water. False first. We didn't have a kick before the first red. We scored with our first chance on 70 mins (or just after the corner). Thought they were better than us and they should only be halfway up the table. Anyone think we got a benefit from re...

Re: BFTiFollow - Luton (h) - Carabao Cup

Stone cold sober rather than off head.

Learned nothing.

Enjoyed nothing.

£10 down and out of one of three competitions we enter.

No game against MUFC to look forward to.

Why risk first teamers in friendlies and bot play them in competition?

Why pay footballers lots not to play football matches?

Zammo Luton with 9 changes. The state of football when no one cares you've drawn Manchester United in the next round.

Still, glad I paid a tenner for it :|

Yeah, me too.

Joke.

Hahahahaha on me.

Aluko vs Fae Fae: - signed for Premier League - one third the price - no memorable performances (11 matches) - refused to play for the reserves - left quickly and we recouped the fee Aluko: - signed for the Championship - three times the price - four goals and a few good games on top of that (60 ap...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Dean Morgan

For me, a surprisingly absolutely vital game - because I believe in momentum (small m!). Possibly three home games in eight days - first two eminently winnable - Luton and Barnsley and my god do we need some home form! Win those and that would send us into the MUFC game on a bit of a high. If we put...

What's the deal for Saturday game at Derby?

Tenner on i-Follow I presume?

Remember last time we played Derby away on the first day. They'd just been relegated from Prem , we'd been promoted from L1. Ravanelli destroyed us - 0-3. We finished above them!

And the draw for Reading is Round 2 Reading v Luton Town Round 3 Reading or Luton Town v Manchester United All behind closed doors Great draws. Winnable home tie in 2nd with a real incentive for new manager to win it by fielding a proper team and then a chance against one of our bogey sides probabl...

Very pleased within the win and Joao hat trick.

God knows where Colch went in second half. Game turned on Joao s first goal which was, embarrassingly, our first attempt. Rhino made a difference. Wembley here we come.

10 mins gone and it’s already looking like a disgrace. Club not taking the competition or us seriously, I fear. Clubs not taking this cup seriously isn’t new information, and 100% doesn’t just apply to us. Most don’t take it seriously until 1/4 final stages. Tbh, I’m fine with the club treating thi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Colchester United (h) sponsored by Callum & Sam

The two home games with Colchester in the competition have resulted in Reading winning 4-3 (1983) and Colchester winning 3-0 (1970). For those with long memories - The 1969 game was another time when Reading threw everything up in the air - fresh, if not quite brand new, manager in Jack Mansell, fir...
