Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (h)

A win, but a shocking performance. Just do not think that Richardson knows how to set us up to get the maximum from the players at his disposal and I do not think he can make us better. He is walking a very thin tightrope. Wycombe must be totally baffled at how they lost that game. Bolton on Tuesday...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (a)

We were bobbins first half, but upped it enough in the second to win it. Wing's brutal cross in for Keane's header very much reminded me of Kebe's cross for Roberts' goal at Southampton in 2012.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (h)

Great win and had the same elated feeling leaving the stadium that I did after the 2-0 win against Wrexham last season - another game settled by a Wing thunderbastard. Was sat in the Eamon Dolan right in line with Wing's shot and I cannot recall seeing a ball hit so hard - and it was moving all over...

Comfortable win. Incredibly tight division and only six points off the play-offs. None of the top eight won today.

Re: 40 years ago today...

Wonderful day. There were certainly not 8500 still there at the end . South Bank felt half empty although obviously more packed towards the Tilehurst end. Has to be my favourite match ever Stood on the Tilehurst that day and several left when it went to 0-3. They must have been gutted when they saw...

27.11.90 Aldershot 3 Reading 1. Leyland Daf thingy. We were truly shocking and what made it memorable was that I remember leaving the ground seriously considering packing it in.

FA Vase 4th round draw done- lack of local teams left. Reading City v Lymore Gardens Tunbridge Wells or Windsor & Eton v Fisher Never heard of Lymore Gardens, they actually hail from Waltham Forest and currently are 5th in the Eastern Counties League Divison One South. Seem to be a different so...

Re: Rinomhota CONFRIMED

Him and Williams do feel like good signings for this level and give us some depth. It would point to Fraser being out long term Wouldn’t expect him to come in ahead of Abrefa or Yiadom but he might. Think he’ll play in a solid 3 man mid with wing and savage 4-1-4-1 with him behind Wing and Savage? ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (h)

Reading have only once lost at home to a non league club. I was at that game possibly one of the most depressing miserable experiences l can remember as a Reading fan. Anyone else on this board remember it? Bishops Stortford 1-2!!! in the mud. Remember it well - I was there as well and remember fee...

To or from Rotherham? I can't remember

Doncaster. Dick Habbin went to Rotherham.

Was totally gutted when Simon Osborn left. Going back a bit further, Tommy Jenkins.

Re: Elm Park - the final days

Up until around 1980 I was a regular on the town end terrace as it was the closest to my gran's house in Rutland Road. Started collecting home and away programmes in the 60s and in that top photo, the blue door on the far left was where I used to pick up my programmes from the legend that is Mick Fo...
