Re: MATCHWATCH : Wimbledon (a)

Surprised Wimbledon are doing as badly as they are at home, given their relative away record (4th). They've picked up 1.15 ppg at home; 1.33 away. Their win tonight was only their second win in their past fifteen - and they came against Leyton Orient and Port Vale. Wimbledon seem like a side who sta...

Re: Richardson to Blackburn

That would be a surprise given he's only just started here and just completed his first transfer window. Why would he move to Blackburn immediately after a transfer window's closed?

The £400k would do nicely, but not sure who'd be the obvious candidate to replace him.

Re: How best to approach the rest of the season

I feel like with the transfer window we've had we've spent quite a lot of money on extra wages signing on fees and transfer fees such as agent fees. And we're in all likelihood not going to be promoted. Feel it may have been better to hold the money back and target a better squad assembled well bef...

Re: Spaculation - Azeez

Millwall rejected a club record fee, meaning at least £15m. If they stay down, you'd think our sell on windfall will surely come in the summer. Dang. Who's their current record sale? Romain Esse to Crystal Palace last January according to TransferMarkt. He was sold for £12m, plus £2.5m in add ons. ...

DK out for rest of season, right? Anyway, he did a solid job in the European game on Thursday - highlights reel at end of link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj7ljf2U9ik Strong, tidy on the ball, got an eye for taking players on. Looks okay and will be interesting to see how he does in a much more...

scumbag Rick Catania suggesting someone is due to sign on twitter.

The club have put one of their pre-announcement posts on Twitter now. Something's happening.

Re: The window closes at 7pm on Monday 2nd February

Seems the deal is dead because of a Colchester decision.
Ramy Abou-Setta [@ramy_abousetta] I understand that the deal was ultimately rejected by the club and not the player's camp - They weighed up their options and decided against selling the player.

Kyreece Lisbie wanted to come to Reading ahead of many interested clubs.

Any news on outgoings, especially players like Stickland, Rushesha or Camara? Some loans for them would be good.

Stranded A relative random over on Twitter claiming they have been told that is dead.

So club announcement at 18:00 then.

Rumour was Colchester wanted a replacement for him; wonder if they're struggling on that front. Still wouldn't be surprised if things suddenly moved very quickly.

traff yeah,yeah,yeah.
But what does your gut say?

I think we'll be mid-table. Invariably we'll get injuries and we're not playing like a side which will get into the play-offs. With the signings we've made this window, I think we've put ourselves into a good position for next season though.

Re: The window closes at 7pm on Monday 2nd February

I wasn’t a huge Noel Hunt fan but wonder how he feels on all this support given to the new manager Yeh, either the money wasn't there at the time, while they waited for more investors. Or he got well and truly stitched up. Maybe a bit of both. It does seem a huge contrast as to how much money we've...

Do we know what the injury is? If he's injured due to kicking the back of a player's studs, does that suggest a potential bone break?

Re: The curious case of a missing CEO

The data will no doubt be useful if correctly analysed, but I hope this doesn't come at the cost of an actual scouting department. There are always going to be players who'll stand out on the data who wouldn't make it at the club and players who don't stand out who would. Plenty of factors cannot be...

Re: Play-off/relegation watch.

in the last 10 years the highest points total has been 50 points 3 times for the last relegation place, at the moment it`s 31 points with 18 to play. Most of the teams down there seem capable of picking up surprising results so it wouldn`t be a shock if that number is surpassed this season. Either ...

Up to 2nd. in table, Pity there's no chance of catching Wycombe who having only dropped 4 points this season (all to us) must be the promoted club this season. But what a turn round from last season, well done. everybody. 3rd in table- Beaconsfield v Winchester draw not added yet. I hate leagues th...

Re: Andre Garcia sold

Yep, had some decent games amongst our ‘troubled times’ we relied on him. Good luck to the lad, FC Brugge is a big step-up (and no-doubt a decent sell-on clause) Based on their website, he's going into their 'Club NXT' programme (their U23s). They play in the Challenger Pro League (the second divis...

I think that's four goals in his last four starts for them (in the league at least).

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (a)

Thought it was a fairly even game overall, with us simply taking our chances whilst Northampton didn't. Pereira made a number of important saves once again; Wing's balls for the goals were impressive once again. We still seem a bit lost as to what to do when our opponents sit in and keep bodies behi...
