Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by a James Harper debut

I have only seen Semedo play once for about 20 minutes.Looks to me as if he could play CF;if Jao is injured.Dont we have enough attacking midfielders anyway ?

Re: Next 5 games are key

There is a sliver of a pretty decent team there at the moment;though it rarely comes through. After an awful start midweek in the first half,we then had a very promising ten minutes.I am not sure the units have quite clicked yet.Jao and Meite tend to be on different wavelengths, ditto Olise and Ejaria...

Re: BFIT - Wycombe (H)

Just did some quick adding up (I’m on hols this week). In 48 PL games this season 172 goals have been scored at an average of 3.58 per game which is unusually high. In the Championship only 130 goals have been scored from 67 games at just 1.94 per game which is very low. So on average you can expec...

I wonder if their goalie is a bit thick.Time wasting when they were one nil down.

Re: BFIT - Wycombe (H)

Two pieces of quality from Jao and Rafa won the game.Wycombe had next to nothing and it’s going to be a long hard season for them. IMHO Rafa 8 For the save.Little to do really. Holmes 5 Bit of a mess . Morrison 7 No alarms. Moore 6 Typically one horror moment 1st half. But very physical when he neede...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (h) sponsored by Keith Scott

PieEater This is terrible, this is the first game I've watched live this season and we look like relegation fodder.

We'll lose this to a set piece or penalty.

Ditto.I am wondering if I have just forgotten how poor the standard is.

WoodleyRoyal Sky obviously only have one camera at the game. None behind the goals and nothing on the east. Not seen a single replay either

It’s always like this on the red button.

Re: BFTG Middlesbrough

Yesterday was a better than OK performance and result. This is a marathon;if we can now put the peddle down with two relatively easy games to play then we will be in a very good place.

Gunters signing wasn’t exactly last minute;but he was hanging about without a club for quite a while.Wasnt he in the Wales squad without a club ?Be interesting to know what went on behind the scenes on that one.Believe he was on 20k a week plus with us ?Had to accept he was only going to get what a ...

Did anybody go to the exhibition game, which was the final final game at Elm Park.Pretty sure Pardew played.I think the entrance fee was very cheap and it was a case of sit where you like. One of the few times I had a seat ticket at Elm Park.Wasnt well attended. Yes, I went to that and took a lot of ...

Final game at Elm Park was against Norwich. We lost 0-1 I think, Craig Bellamy scoring for Nodge. My first Madjeski game was the first in the Premiership because I'm a plastic. Corrected for you.   Just kidding, bro. Sure. Not glory-hunting. I honestly thought RDG would come back down. Couldn't keep doing the trip to South Wales, and my little 'un wanted to see a Premiership ...

Re: Your first game watching Reading FC

I don't remember (fully) my first game, but I remember the end of Bullivant's last game, when there was a pitch invasion and people were calling for him to be sacked. What year was this? I also remember (partially) a Boxing Day Game against West Brom (or maybe it was the Wolves) at Elm Park. It was...

Your first game watching Reading FC

Well it’s p***ing down, and cant face work. What was your first ever game as a spectator and first ever Reading game ? My first ever game was Cardiff versus Man United at the old Ninian Park with my Dad.I had to stand and hated it.We left before the end.My first Reading game was midweek against Portsm...

Bristol City. Lived here for 30 years and my second team. Great ground too, but tickets horribly expensive and the opposite side of the city. Just checked their prices out.Why on earth do their fans put up with that rip off ?I think our prices are very fair and hardly ever seem to move that much.Ho...

Am I the only one who hates international breaks ? As far as I am concerned it’s just an irritating interruption to the real thing:namely Championship football.

Aluko’s was one of the better performances of any Reading player in a while. Barely put a foot wrong, had immense awareness all game and his deliveries were very very good. Worked tirelessly defensively too. I’d imagine this was the Aluko we thought we were buying. Quite a performance, makes you wo...

VP suggested maybe yiadom and swift aren’t quite as bad as we’ve suggested Tbh I don’t think we’re lacking a lot. Wouldn’t be too upset if we didn’t sign anyone else. A winger would be nice. Otherwise some of the most successful teams have relied on a core of players I know we have the Baker Street...
